Our last washer was also a GE product, which lasted us 9 years. We are very happy with the changes and upgrades they have made to their washers. As listed in other reviews, the spin cycle can be rather vigorous and if it is not completely balanced it can be loud.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Front Load Washer

I purchased this washer/dryer in Oct. 2016 because we moved into another home that had a 1 yr. old (other brand) washer & dryer and we wanted a new set of GE washer & dryer. We had a the same model GE washer and dryer at the old house for yrs. and these replaced them because the dryer was gas and we now required electric. The older ones were trouble free with no required maintenance problems. So we made sure we purchased the same models again. We found the new ones have additional options and are working great. We actually gave the 1 yr. old brand x set away.
I would recommend this to a friend!
