I have used Otterbox cases for years. I typically use the defender series. For my new iPad mini 4 I wanted a case that was stylish as well as protected my investment. I decided to try the semmetry series. I love this case! It is stylish with the protection of Otterbox.

The Symmetry Series Folio offers a great combination of features. It has solid, all-around protection, but without the bulk. In fact, its sleek profile may have you wondering about its protection level until you bang it around and feel the hardness of the case. Its overall design is also very attractive (I have the black version and my wife has the Glacier Storm). I also found the front flap comes in handy for hanging the device on exercise equipment monitors when you want a higher viewing angle. The only thing missing for me would be an integrated slider cover for the front and back cameras. In today's hacked world, it's an essential feature that should be standard on every type of case. But besides that, it's highly recommended.

I splurged on an iPad mini with LTE for my wife. I wanted it protected and with a case that matched its quality.
It's an awesome case with both portrait and landscape (a big plus). It has no annoyances that we've noticed, so it's a winner.
Definitely the only case for average people I'd recommend today.

My husband has owned multiple Otterbox smartphone cases, and the quality of those cases led me to look at an Otterbox case when I finally sprung for an iPad Mini 4... This is THE case to get - it has all the features I wanted, and they all work perfectly! This case offers unparalleled protection with a snug fit and openings for the ports that are molded openings (rather than simply cutouts missing from the protective perimeter, like lesser brands). I feel confident and comfortable taking the iPad with me and using it more places because of this case! The rotation feature is excellent, as I intend to use the device for recipes while cooking. The interior of the case has just the right amount of small ridges and traction to allow the iPad to stand at the perfect angle for viewing in portrait or landscape orientation. The magnetic closure offers just the right amount of hold to keep the case closed, the sleep/wake function works perfectly with the cover, and the single piece cover (no joints in it) keeps the screen safe. The Merlot Shadow color is lovely and durable, analogous material to the black color. Go for it, and find yourself using your new iPad more and more!

Disappointed in the Glacier Storm material

I purchased the Glacier Storm for my iPad mini 4 at the end of November. The product came in a timely manner but within a week I noticed that the material was beginning to run at the back seam. I called and received excellent service and a new case, but within two weeks of receiving my second Glacier Storm case it too has run at the same back seam, even worse then the first one. I have called again and will receive my third Glacier Storm and even though the service is amazing I don't think it is worth paying the shipping and handling costs every few weeks for a new case. There is a serious problem with the fabric .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
