Durable and Effecient

I have had this kettle for 4 years and love it. We boil full pots of water 4-5 times a day, so it has seen high use. Quick to boil, looks great, quiet. Only problem is that the stainless veneer cap occasionally pops off when the lid opens with too much force. I hold vinegar water in it overnight to reduce the lime scale, a few times a year. Wish it would have a stainless interior to minimize hot plastic exposure. Otherwise, I'm glad Krups still manufactures it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice design and functionality, but it broke a year in.

Broken after a year of use. It was well taken care of and cleaned regularly. Suddenly it shorted or something caused it to burn the copper cables connecting into the base. Very disappointed with how bad the quality was for the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too bad the clear plastic switch no longer works, this unit is over a year of weekend usage. Please advice what warranty cover this product has.........

Such a time saver

This is so beautiful and simple at the same time. The water boils within about two minutes and is great for tea and other hot beverages. The design is simple but very complimenting to any kitchen as it is classic in appearance. I recommend this product all day. It did take me quite some time to actually send this review, but I needed to use it for a while to ensue everything was consistent. This product has worked perfectly everyday for the past two months.

Boiling water in less than 5 minutes!

This is an amazing piece of kitchen equipment! I've never used one but thought this would be interesting. I drink a ton of tea and coffee and thought this would save me time but quickly realized this gadget is good for so much more. Yes, I heated water for tea and coffee but since it boils water in about 5 minutes or less, I've now used it for my instant potatoes, gravy and other side where I've need to boil water. I used to have a gas stove which is instantly hot but I moved and now I have an electric. This pot allows me to still boil water within 5 minutes then I measured it into a bowl and made my mashed potatoes, same with gravies, etc. I'm hoping I never need it for boiling drinking water but I do like the idea that I've got a quick option if I ever need it. I noticed they use these at church to make fast coffee. I used it to make my tea. I poured the boiling water over my tea bags and it made very strong tea which I love. It's truly a great piece of kitchen equipment.

BEST Kettle on the market!!! Would buy again and again!

I have never used a kettle before, I've only ever used an old tea pot kettle. The KRUPS 1.7 L Control Line Kettle is simply amazing! The design is sleek and modern and looks great with other appliances on the counter. The kettle sits on a heat base and the water heated up so fast, I couldn't believe it. We actually used this to heat up our spiced wine! It does say for water only, however we did use it for other and it preformed just fine. I would most definitely recommend this product to a friend and I would purchase it as a gift! For a small reasonably priced appliance, this kettle is super handy and the quality is top notch. I know you will be happy with this purchase. I could not find one negative thing to say about it!

Getting another one for my adult children!

Krups has really won me over with the control line kettle. I really like the large 1.7L volume keeps me with hot water for all my needs! My tea and french press is so quick and easy now, not to mention my hot cereal in the mornings, i have piping hot water in moments. This kettle is also really attractive setting on the counter with my other stainless steels. This krups kettle also washes up really nicely and the cord wraps around on the bottom of the base to store away neat and nice. I would recommend this product to anyone that likes to have a kettle of hot water on hand. I think it would make a great gift for others as well. Great convenient little kettle!

I really enjoy this kettle. It's modern looking and has a sturdy handle, with a nice wide spout. It's easy to use and fast to heat up. I've been using it for making tea at night instead of my stovetop kettle. It takes a few minutes to boil and is quieter Than my stovetop kettle. I like that it automatically turns off once the water reached its boiling point. The interior is plastic, the outside is stainless. The kettle's filter is easy to clean as well. Overall I enjoy using this product and I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a quiet convenient option for making tea.
