Do Not Buy this! I thought this looked good but there is a problem with the materials used to manufacture this product. The edges curl up which creates a dish-like shape to the pad area and causes the mouse to lose contact with the surface. When I move the mouse the cursor on the screen does not move. When I remove this mouse pad the mouse works normally on my desk. This is not an isolated case. Many other users have posted the same problem online.

Poor Quality

The mouse pad portion of the product that I received has raised edges and won't allow the pad to sit flat on a desk. The mouse doesn't move evenly toward the edges of the pad. It is unfortunate because the gel wrist rest is quite comfortable.

Any solution to the curvature?

3M, is there any solution to the edges of the mousepad curving up? I like the mouse pad overall, but the curving makes it much less usable. If there's no solution, I'll return it.
To others: The pad part lifts up from the desk about 1 3/4" from the edges and about 3/8" up, all the way around except the wrist wrest. There is still a flat spot in the middle that works great. However, it will quickly become infuriating if you are used to using the whole mouse pad. I used a rubber band to bend it backward overnight, but that did not help.

Wild and Crazy Cursor

I bought two of these a couple of months ago, one for my Dell computer at work and the other for my Mac at home. With both, though more so with the Mac, the cursor would move erratically and even when I didn't have my hand on the mouse. It took me a while to realize that neither mouse really like the pattern on the mouse pad. If I flipped the pad around so that I could still take advantage of the gel but with the mouse resting on the bare desktop, the problem went away

Not really what I expected from 3M

I bought this mousepad several years ago together with its sister version MW311. I experienced the same bad issues that many others witness about this product. I had other models made by 3M before this one and I were very satisfied with all of them. But this MW309LE turned out being crap, I'm sorry to say. I used it for a couple of months at my job, but then I scrapped it and got another MW311 instead. Now I have been using the first MW311 at home since bought, but now the gel wrist cover start giving up and I started to look for a new MW311. Unfortunately only MW309LE and the slightly smaller one are available. This is a pity that 3M phased-out the MW311 and kept this rubbish that only fold up along edges and destroy the mouse precision I'm used to with the MW311. So, after reading all these reviews I feel sad because I need to find another brand for my next mousepad with built-in gel wrist rest. I have been using and appreciating 3Ms products over time both privately and workwise, but this product don't live up to the expected expectations on 3M products!

curved surface

I bought this, and from day one I can't use this because the surface of the pad is curved. I thought it would flatten by time but no. I use 3d modelling and drafting software, and I can't make a precise point as the curved pad drag my pointer away. Neither it sticks to the surface.

Poor performance

I purchased approx 30 of these for my staff, mostly for the wrist support, only to find that the triangle pattern on the mouse pad causes the mouse to track diagonally when trying to move horizontally. Can't believe 3M would let this product out to the wild. We have confirmed it's the mouse pad by checking performance with a piece of paper and it's definitely the pattern on the surface. paper.
