I was unaware of the fact that the US version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 phone did not have a true Octa-core processor. The domestic version distributed to the US market introduced a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 which is Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo while the international version has an Exynos 8890 Octa Quad-core 2.3 GHz Mongoose + Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53. The difference may not be noticeable to the standard user however this was apparent to me. I was also disappointed that band 17 was not supported in this phone to take full advantage of LTE speeds. Although I understand that AT&T is currently making the switch to band 12 from band 17, it should still be a feature supported if Sprint were to claim some of that network availability.
I also had my Galaxy S5 since it was released which does not have a single scratch on it. The first week of getting the S7, it suffered a huge scratch from a several inch fall on a screw. The newer addition of the gorilla glass on the front and back is not an improvement. The curved design of the phone makes it so that it's prone to slippage. The overall glass makes the phone aesthetically pleasing, but it does have this downfall. The Galaxy S7 is heavier than the S5 which is more than likely due to the Gorilla glass on the front and back.
Overall the performance of the phone is noticeably better than any previous phone I had. It start up and handles applications extremely fast. The screen is very clear and there's no distortion because of the high resolution. The camera and the associated processing is remarkable. The microSD card slot was an exceptional addition the phone. I didn't buy the S6 because it didn't have a card slot.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, sd card slot
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second time to choose sumsung phone instead of Iphone. I feel glade that i make a right decision. This phone make me do everything on it and sometime i don't need to open my laptop. I am so inlove with this phone and also recommence to all family and friends.
Hands down this is the best phone that Samsung has ever had. All of the features, the performance, and the design that you get - and at that price? Win-win all around.
I have had the s3, s5 and now the s7. Each one has worked really great for me and have loved every one of them. My favorite feature of the s5 and the s7 is the fact they are water resistant. I have young children and that feature is amazing, just one less thing I have to not worry about in my busy life. The galaxy's are extremely user friendly and easy to move around and customize to fit my needs and wants. Really glad I have chosen the galaxy series.
