I'm coming up from the Galaxy S4 which didn't disappoint me as is, but I had an upgrade so I took full advantage, and although everyone kept telling me to get an iPhone I just couldn't do it. I've had Samsung phones for over 16 years. The Galaxy S7 turned out to be a lot like the S4 which I liked because it means that I didn't need to learn a bunch of stuff to use it. The size is a little bigger which again I didn't mind. The camera quality on the S7 is phenomenal. Great improvement there. Love the fact that the phone is waterproof. Not that I've ever had an issue with water but its a great relief just knowing that protection is there. The only difficult part was the 1st step in installing the SD card. Its a little bit tricky but once its in the slot you don't have to worry about it again. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone looking for a phone.
I upgraded from the S5 to the S7 and it was the best decision I've made. My new phone performs so much better and faster. Also, it feels and looks so buch niver.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, nice design, well built, fast, good quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had the Galaxy S7 for a little over 3 weeks now. My previous phone was the S4.
The good -- Folders -- The folders for apps are a great addition to this phone. I can't believe this wasn't an option sooner. Battery Life -- This phone really retains a charge. I left home at 100%, used Google Maps and Google Play Music for over an hour, and still had 80% battery left. Charge time indicator - Brilliant. Again, can't believe this wasn't an option before. Samsung Pay -- Samsung Pay is a dream when the vendor can accept it. Having the short cut from the bottom and being able to secure it with your fingerprint makes it feel safer to use. Every time I've used it someone has said, "Oooooh....what app is that?!" Speakers - sound is pretty strong on these Default emojis -- the default emjois on the messaging app are much better than what was on the S4 Expandable memory - it's super easy to add an SD card Google Now - I don't remember doing anything to set it up, but it somehow just knows things. It's cool, but scary. I was sitting at work and an alert pops up telling me how long it's going to take to drive home. (I didn't ask, but thanks!). During the tournament, it knew which teams to send me score updates for. It's fascinating!
The bad -- Retains smudges from fingers -- I have never had a phone retain smudges like this one. It never looks clean. Messaging color -- I don't know who decided orange was a good color for the messaging app. It's not. It should be teal, or blue, or just about any color other than orange.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this phone.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, battery life
Cons: screen holds smudges
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm really enjoying my s7. I especially like the fact that you can take a pic while on text message.
