I've always been a fan of these galaxy phones and with each time I switch to a newer phone I've been very satisfied with the new features and updates.

I had high hopes for the s7. I even pre-ordered it, which I never do. The build quality is nice. I didn't care for the semi rounded edges, which made finding a screen protector that fit correctly almost impossible. The real problem I had is the locked bootloader. That is why I already returned the phone, and going with the new HTC 10 when it is released. So much for Samsung, which I have used for 5 years.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, locked bootloader
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just recently upgraded from the galaxy s3 to the s7 and I'm impressed. I've held out for Samsung to bring back the sd card option. I must say I'm glad i did. Not only did Samsung listen to customers and bring back the sd card they improved an already fantastic phone. Great job Samsung!
Pros: Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was excited, but short lived.

Essentially, I stayed with my S5 for the longest time due to its durability and water resistance (dropped in a river rapid, called an hour later and it rang fully to voicemail). When I found out about the S7, I felt it was time to upgrade. At first I was really excited about the phone and its features. It has been a month now, and I do have my issues with the device now.
1. The phone definitely shows fps lag during Hearthstone often. Yes, I do make sure things are not running in the background, but apparently Spotify and Hearthstone are enough to cause it to chug.
2. Returned my first S7 due to a possible aux port malfuction, but after receiving the second one it was performing the same way with my vehicle's radio aux. (Major static sounds when the phones volume was increased) Ended up having to replace my radio.
3. Overheating during Oculus Gear use. After about 40 minutes, the device will give me a message stating it has become too hot and needs to cooldown, causing the Oculus application to crash.
4. The keyboard. This is the final straw for me. I already dislike touchscreen keyboards as it is, but for some reason the digital keyboard on the S7 is beyond inaccurate. It feels as though I have to try very hard to send out a text message, which discourages me from sending them at all. It feels as though keypresses do not register all the time, which also frusterates me. If it was a consistency in the typos, I would be able to adjust. Sadly, this is not the case.
Overall, I ended up disappointed with my 'upgrade' to the S7.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations, keyboard inconsistencies, overheating
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I miss my old s5 sport

So far this is not an improvement over my old s5. It is constantly restarting itself for no reason. At least once a day. More if i use music apps. Th speaker on the bottom is covered by my finger when i hold it. The 3.5 connection is on the bottom making it more difficult to see notifications while listening to music in the car.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm very impressed with the phone's design, functionality, and overall performance, however there are just a few features that I wish were written back into the phone's OS. I cannot continuously scroll through my various pages that make up my home screen, which I have gotten used to and is now quite frustrating. I would also like the media player to come back, as it was extremely useful when I didn't have a decent data or wifi connection.
My camera lens broke while in an empty pocket. I have an otterbox case to try to protect the phones main screen. The camera lens is inset but still cracked. There are many complaints on the internet about the same issue. Other than the lens being broken I have loved the phone.
