The screen cracked in my pocket

I really like the s7, it does in fact survive submerged. It fell screen first on concrete without problem. But I had a key and a lighter in my pocket with the S7, and when I pulled my phone out there was a cracked on the corner stretching across the top. Really now? After all its been through? A key was it's kryptonite?
Pros: Built-in speakers, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wanted to be excited
on March 26, 2016

Was excited to move from an S4 to an S7. Haven't found the difference too profound. Much better camera. Mostly just rearranged apps and slightly different access. Maybe after I've explored it more I will find more differences.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, camera
Cons: Did not meet expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sprint Galaxy S7 not big upgrade from Sprint Galaxy S6
on March 26, 2016

I purchased the S7 with hopes of a better battery life over the Galaxy S6. Unfortunately I have not experienced what I would consider worthy of the upgrade. With them both at a full charge my S6 says 9hrs and 50 mins battery left, my S7 says 13 hrs 10 mins. Using the device they both come to about 8 hrs or so. I have Marshmallow on both and have set up all my apps for instant battery save. I used the S7 for the first 2 days without downloading any of my apps I have on my S6. I have seen friends with the S7 from different carriers who are getting 15hrs to 20hrs+ on their S7. I'm not sure if I have a bad unit or its the signal drain.
The S7 feels great in the hand. I prefer this design more so than the S6. The curved back make it real easy to hold with one hand doing one hand operations. With the glass back it does attract more finger prints and oil making the phone slippery after prolonged use. The home button is also flatter making using it as well as the fingerprint lock screen very efficient.
I have read reviews on the S7 camera being better in low light vs the s6. I have not noticed any huge difference. I have taken pictures with the 16:9 16mp ratio and also the 4:3 12mp ratio on the S6 and the quality appears to be the same but I was only looking at the pictures from the respected phone screen. Both take great low light photos especially with the flash turned on so this was also the same on both phones to me. I also noticed they added a "live" photo feature in the settings on the S7
My S6 is the 128gb and I have a 64gb sd card in the S7. Using the Samsung Smart switch made moving items from one phone to another phone easy as long as they were below the phones internal 32gb memory. I did not find a way to move the items to the card directly. For example I have 18gb of pictures and when I first moved them they went to the phone's memory. I then had to use the file manager to move them to the SD card. I have 20gb of music on my S6 which will require me to use a computer to place on the SD card which is an extra step. Also trying to find apps that can be moved to the memory card is cumbersome. You have to go through each app in the app manager and hope it is one that can be moved to the SD card to save you on memory.
Overall I like the S7 but it has not won me over my S6. The S7 Edge might have but I am not a fan of phones larger than this 5.1" screen. I will be exchanging the phone to rule out the device and if anything changes I will update my review. If it remains the same I will be forced to take this back as there isn't anything better than my S6 other than the comfort of holding it. Water reaistants is not a hughe factor to me. If you are coming from the 32gb S6 or any other phone I would highly recommend the S7 especially for the SD card addition. Those who have a higher gb will find it frustrating to get all your stuff from one device to the next. The wireless charging is beautiful on both phones as I have one on my night stand and in my office so I hardly ever use the plug.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, micro sd slot
Cons: glass back prone to fingerprints and oil, slippery
I would recommend this to a friend!
