NOT A DURABLE BATTERY

This vacuum is barely a year old and the battery is already dying. You would think a replacement battery would be available but no, they want you to buy a whole new vacuum and toss the old one. No thanks.

I've had this for two years with light usage and the battery will no longer charge. Unfortunately, there is no replacing the battery! What rocket scientist at Black and Decker thought that was a good idea? I won't buy their products again!

This had good suction and decent battery life and I loved it but I ran it to empty a couple of times and now the batter is dead, won't charge. I think that's too soon. I would expect it to last at least 4 years. It's wasteful that there's no battery replacement. I think you have to buy a whole motor which costs almost as much as a new vacuum.

Superior Vac! Don't know how I ever did without it

Bought my PivotVac 2 years ago and use it daily for areas that need frequent maintenance. It has powerful suction that makes quick work of removing debris from hard surfaces and carpet. Best of all, it picks up cat litter and pet hair like a dream.
Excellent design ...functional and attractive. Super-easy to empty and to charge. Very compact (and good-looking!) to store and to charge. With the ease of the pivot feature and availability of the built-in crevice extension and flip-up brush, I clean things like tight spaces, hard-to-reach areas and my accordion-fold lampshades much more frequently.
It's hands-down the best hand-vac I've ever owned!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery Life - Bad

I had a previous B&D pivot vac prior to buying this one. It worked okay until the battery started to lose charge time. This is expected with a NiCad. This has a Li-Ion battery and short life is not to be expected. It runs for about 4 minutes before the battery fades and stops. I can hear it start to run down after about 2 minutes. Battery can not be replaced. The vac is relatively new, now it's worthless. It won't even make a good boat anchor.
