Good Phone

This phone is touch screen for only the number pad. This is a finnicky feature, and isn't great but then again it isnt a fully touch screen phone. Great phone for texting, and pictures. A little slow when navigating menus but otherwise great.
Pros: Style/Design
I would recommend this to a friend!

Persnickety Little Phone
on September 8, 2010

I had to replace my phone twice; I'm now on phone number 3.
Neon #1 would shut off all by itself, randomly. I would have a full battery, and it would just shut off on its own. Very annoying!!! Especially when waiting for important phone calls!
Neon #2 the vibrate feature didn't work at all, it was broken. I returned it, and now I'm on Neon #3.
Neon #3 I had the issue of the call taking a long time to connect. I took it back to the store, and they said it was a phone memory issue. With this phone you need to clean out your inbox and outbox when you have 100 messages. It's pretty annoying, because 100 messages isn't that much, and this IS a messaging phone, it should be able to handle that.
Many people think their phone is broken when it takes a while to connect the call but its NOT the case. It's just a low quality phone, and can't handle too many txt messages.
The other issue is the phone being slow. Very annoying! You need to keep the number of pictures on your SD card to a minimum, the phone can't handle too many pictures either.
As long as you clean out your inbox and out box, and transfer you photos to your computer regularly there aren't too many issues, and its a nice little phone. It's just persnickety, and high maintenance. Once you get over that, it will work fine.
The good things? Well, I like how the menus are, and the buttons on the Qwerty keyboard are perfect! Nice size and spacing, VERY easy to use!!
I do wish that the screen was fully touch, but, I still like the touch screen for dialing, also easy to use, alphanumeric.
It can be a nice phone and behave, if you take care of it.
Pros: Style/Design, qwerty keyboard
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had this phone for a couple of months, and i have to say its pretty worth it. The keyboard is the perfect size and i use the music player all the time. However, the fact that the touch screen is only for typing in phone numbers was a real letdown.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality, texting

Waste of money

I got the Aqua Neon several months ago and was disappointed from the moment I opened the box. First off, it looks nothing like the photo color-wise. What they show as blue is actually silver, the only blue is the lights of the keys. From reading the description, I believed the phone was touch screen. Ha! Oh it has a touch screen number pad, enough to say it has touch screen, but it certainly wasn't what I thought it would be.
I have had to replace the battery once already, the phone randomly turns itself off, has a tendency to play ringtones while in silent for no reason (I discovered this in the middle of class), and the speaker is horrible! Most of the time the speaker will not start working during a phone call until the other person has answered. I can't tell you how many times I've been hung up on because the person I was calling said "Hello" about twenty times before finally giving up, and I'd never heard a word. My mother also got the same phone and has all the exact same problems, so I know it's not just mine.
Overall I was seriously disappointed. I've switched back to my old LG phone and am counting the days to contract renewal time so I can get a new one.
Don't waste your time or money.
Pros: easy to use

Avoid at all costs

Perhaps the worst phone I have ever owned.
Extremely problematic for several reasons:
1. Turns off unexpectedly, several times a day. Can be in pocket, during a text, any time at all.
2. Call delay when making calls. Sometimes takes up to 13 seconds to be able to hear someone on the other line; however, they have already answered the phone, responded and become confused when you chime in after three "hello"s
3. Inability to retrieve multimedia messages. Phone will receive about 20% of all picture texts and 0% audio files.
4. qwerty keyboard is poorly designed so as not to mimic an actual computer keyboard, but to use the space as efficiently as possible.
5. having a touchscreen that only uses a specific number dialing application as its only functional aspect.
The production of this phone was clearly a hasty effort, and all editing was lost in trying to bring it to stores as quickly as possible. Even the interfacing between the outbox and inbox is inconsistent.
I have taken this phone back several times and have had many new phones and new parts put in.
On the plus side it looks on the surface like a slick phone, and the menu system is navigable.
Poor quality phone, and will not be trying any LG products in the future.
Pros: Style/Design

Frustrating

I got this phone about a year ago and it is a pain. It is always changing my wallpaper on me to those stupid umbrellas and it changes my ringtone too. Also some of the time my sound wont work. The camera lets me take pics but a lot of the time when I go to view them it tells me they are in the wrong format and I lose the picture. On the up side I seem to have good signal just about everywhere even when the rest of my family doesnt. It holds a charge pretty long too.
Pros: easy to use

I liked this phone at first but after about 3 months of having it, it went down hill. The phone will freeze up for about 10 minutes.
Now when I make a call, I can not hear the person I am calling and then they usually hang up. So frustrating. It is also really slow at times.
Pros: Features/Settings, easy to use, Style/Design
Cons: Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do Not waist your money on this phone

This is by far the worst phone I've ever used! I'm on my second neonGT365 in less than a month and they've both had the same problems. When I make a call, I can't here the person on the other line until about the third hello. When I check my voice mail, I don't here the first message, just "if you want to delete this message press 7...". This phone turns off randomly. It's super slow. I absolutely hate this phone and wouldn't recommend it to my wort enemy.
Cons: Value, Features/Settings
