Delivery driver left the box in my driveway in front of the garage door. The box looked like its traveled through a war zone. Product was not as damaged as I expected, but not in perfect shape. the bottom and door were dented making assembly difficult. Where the legs screws are to be tightened it has limited space due to welded shelf rack in the way. I've used it twice so far, the temp is a little hard to keep consistent and the igniter has worked once out of many many attempts. Ended up using a candle lighter. Food taste great but will take some getting use to trying to maintain a good temp.

I bought this for Christmas and it arrived December 19th so I had time to break it in with a rack of St. Louis Ribs for familiarization. Proceeded to smoke a Rib-eye Roast for Christmas dinner and have subsequently smoked salmon, whole trout, Baby Back Ribs, bratwurst and duck breast. It is really easy to operate, although it does run a little hot, closer to 275 than to 225 which I would prefer. Only real negative is that it arrived in damaged packaging and as a result there was damage to the lower edge of the main box body that I am afraid will rust fairly quickly due to loss of paint in that area. It could definitely have been better boxed for shipping.

i need to replace regulator for this smoker; cannot find part on line here ... can you help me order the part please - or point me to where i can source one. Web site / manual does not show the part (part #) ... nothing i have purchased fits.

My smoker struggles to get over 222 degrees. I have removed and installed the venturi gas tube, and I get a great flam but not much over 222 degrees
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

love it! I have 4 vertical smokers from char-broil now. The only thing that i wish is the water pan not to rust out even if no water is ever used. The part that the flames hit the pan will rust and fall apart due to the heat. I hope the new model will be better and last longer.

Dimensions are wrong!

On the website it say's that the smoker is 21.5"x45"x21.5"... THESE ARE INCORRECT!!! THE REAL Dimensions are 16"x45"x14''. I can't believe a company that has been around as long as Char-Broil can't get the correct measurements right. ( have photos of the correct measurements but there is no where to upload them.
