This is fairly new and I have not fully experimented yet. I use it for keeping things warm that I have already cooked. I use it in baking to melt chocolate and butter easily and conveniently. I don't think about it enough to warm plates which I think would be wonderful and I haven't yet used it as a slow cooker.

Warming drawer is a must for this farm family. Husband is out with employees or animals and I don't want to cook dinner at 7 pm. make dinner and put in warming drawer. Stays warm and fresh until he arrives home.

Perfect compliment to the Jenn-Air Oven/microwave

This in conjunction with a Jenn-Air oven/microwave was a perfect replacement for an aged Whirlpool double oven. We only ever used the lower oven for warming plate and keeping cooked foods warm, but this is a better solution, and has the benefit of being an ideal way to slow cook stews etc.
