Below average performance - Above average FRUSTRATION

1) Be prepared to keep a pen, nail, or some other pointy device handy. You will need it to constantly reset the little red circuit breaker in the brush motor housing. No - I'm not trying to vacuum up paper towels, rocks or otherwise. Little pieces of hay, grass & straw actually. Just the usual stuff that gets tracked into the (laminate floor) basement) from our little farmyard. Yes - my Dyson never fails but it is kept upstairs, and why we bought this unit.
2) Be prepared to wait for some unknown, inconsistent period of time if you ever try to use the hose function. Sometimes it takes 10 seconds to switch from brush to hose, sometimes it takes 45 seconds, and worst of all, sometimes the suction to the hose never kicks in.
3) Worst engineering design in the history of Samsung. The wheels are mounted on a slight angle and moves effortlessly when vacuuming. When you are done using, turn off power, set to upright position - guess what? The angles wheels prevent you from rolling tor unit. You almost have to drag it to your storage location.
4) Another engineering blunder. The power cord attaches to chassis in a downward direction. Sounds harmless? Not really - it points the power cord straight down and creates an immediate obstacle. You are forced to literally grab the cord and hold or wrap it "upwards".
Cons: Poor quality, poor engineering
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Life is too short to fight with a vacuum

At the same time we are transitioning from carpets to flooring throughout the house our old vacuum bit the dust. We headed to the store with a specific brand and model in mind, one that easily switches from area rugs to the floor with an easy to use wand.
Bagless vacuums have their place in the market and this was our third bagless. Nothing spectacular about the ease of removing the bin, they are all designed for ease of removal. Seeing dirt and debris in the canister massages the brain into thinking the vacuum is sucking up more than a bagged vacuum. Not true. For this household, not having to buy vacuum bags is the reason we stick with bagless.
The wand: That took some time to master, lift up the little latch at the top of the handle, then carefully, slip the hook under the handle into the housing (see the blue tab?) and when it is properly fitted, the latch at the top holds the hose in securely in place. Too much work frankly.
As stated by another commenter, moving this vacuum when unplugged is a bit of a chore to move. It isn't so terrific going from area rug to floor and back either. One should not have to lose function for cool design.
Before we return this to the place of purchase, I will have to clear off the beater bar - again. When it gets tangled with anything it just plain stops...
Clearing the beater bar, wrestling with the wand, and struggling to get this thing to move smoothly has taken more time and energy than the actual chore of vacuuming.
Love Samsung products, will just stay away from their vacuum line.

AFTER A FEW TIMES USING THIS THE BEATER BAR QUIT WORKING. DO NOT KNOW WHY!!

Love this vacuum the fact is very light weight cleans very good easy going vacuum makes it easy on me that I have a cracked pelvic I have a two year old son and I can easily use the vacuum without having someone to help me with vacuuming it's a constant cleaning when you have kids this vacuum just great for that and any job.

Used this the first time after I used my old vacuum and I was amazed at what this still picked up. Easier to use than my old vacuum.

This vacuum has an incredible suction, feels rugged yet durable.
Seems to be matched with the Dyson type, with out all of the star wars -transformer look.
we are very happy with the way this vacuum performs except for (1) important,operational detail.

As this machine is being used, the flip cap, top of the handle, is easily bumped with the hand, causing the suction pipe to fall away to the floor. This is highly annoying while trying to clean floors.
Samsung Engineers, it wouldn't take much to improve on this issue. Perhaps a simple locking mechanism could be designed to alleviate this matter.
Other than that, Excellent machine!
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: must improve cap on handle

It has great motion sync features. This vaccum is bagless and it is easy to empty and clean. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. It is family friendly and great overall
