Following my initial review of the MG432 Canon printer on June 23, 2012,, the printer has performed as expected. There are several features found on this printer that are useful. First, I run the printer in quiet mode. The quiet mode eliminates the announce of the printer noise. Second, in order to extend the use of the printer cartridges, I use the fast mode for most print jobs. However, when there are special print jobs, I use either standard or high quality. A note of caution, if the printer is run in either the standard or high quality mode, the print cartridges are not going to last long. This feature allows a person to print more pages than printers just a few years ago. Third, the scanning and faxing features are ideal for distributing documents and photographs to friends, colleagues, and clients. This printer makes it easier to create, edit, and send documents without cluttering up a desk with several different office tools. The MX 432 all in one printer can be used to scan or fax one to thirty sheets of papers of a document. If scanning or faxing a document, it is best to do this with ten to fifteen sheets at a time. This is especially true if the papers were folded. The reason for this suggestion is that a few pages may stick together. Afterwards, match the pages with the number of scanned sheets. Fourth, the MX432 produces great photos. Printing photographs in hgh quality in 4" x 6" will limit the number of photographs to 100 to 150 prints. This printer is not a high volume photo print. If a person is going to print large numbers of photographs, look for a printer that is designed for this function. Otherwise, a person will be disappointed that the MX432 cannot deliver the volume of photographic prints wanted. Finally, as stated in my June 23, 2012, review this printer is not a high volume printer and is ideal for the student, home business, or small business. The MX432 is easy enough to setup, my twelve year old son setup the printer for me and trouble shoots some of the problems that will arise whem using this printer. Please note that the printer can jam if scanning or faxing pages, especially if the pages are bent or folded.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use, intuitive use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent printer for home use

I was impressed with the ease of setup for use with an iMac. The price was very reasonable, and the printer is quiet and efficient. I carefully researched printers that would be my home needs, and there were none that could beat this Canon Pixma. I actually bought and returned another brand of printer after trying it out, then bought the Canon, and the difference in setup, noise level and quality was very apparent. I recommend this printer.

A Major Problem is you cannot scan a set of pages and one document automaticlly.
Pros: reliable, durable
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Difficult Setup, scan feature options very limited, scanning program stinks, features setup is incomplete and not model based, product online manual is a waste of time, manual has no real useable information, scanned pages must be manually combined as 1 doc
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is one of the worst printers ever! Wifi gives out and has to be reset constantly - now it won't print at all. Unfortunately bought two a few years ago and have to replace them. No more Canon products for this household!

The setup wasn't bad and we have had it networked for probably a year. My wife has used it for printing pictures and scanning so it's all good there.Love being able to print via the wireless BUT it is supposed to be 802.11b/g/n compliant but will not identify my 11n network. Everything in my house that is 11n compliant connects but this thing won't even see it when I manually add the "access point". Luckily with WiFi I can easily switch to the 11b/g connection and print but it would be nice if I didn't have to. Oh and don't change the ink when it tells you it's low, it starts alerting you a looooooong time before you need to change the cartridges.
Pros: reliable, durable, High Quality Output, price

Best so far

It's probably the best I've used so far. My only complaint is I wish the display would light up, have to keep a flashlight handy. And I love the fact that you can buy about 4 different size cartridges for it. Of course I didn't hook it up myself, had my techy friend do while he was in town. Otherwise no problems.
Pros: reliable, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed
Cons: display doesn't light up

Very disappointed

Have used printer for a month or so. All menu items must be changed/setup on the LCD and because the LCD is very small and not back-lit, I need to keep a flashlight nearby to read the display (squint at the display), and the menu items still do not always make sense. The ADF does not always work, and when it does, I never know how I got it to work. I have not asked Canon to take a return as I believe nothing is defective, just disappointing. I have a Canon camera and PIXMA photo printer which are both quite old and have always done a great job. I switched from another brand as my last printer lasted less than two years and I thought perhaps Canon would be better. Canon usually has great products and I'm very disappointed.
Pros: Small Footprint
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, Low Quality Output
