Fantastically Fun

The other reviewer was wrong about the device not allowing headphone use (see the online owners manual). While the screens do not have headphone jacks the required iPod/iPhone does and with the addition of an audio cable splitter you can certainly have two quietly entertained children in the back seat during that upcoming cross-country summer roadtrip, this product was made for just that scenario.
Pros: easy set-up, 100 times better than dvd player equivalent, very useful anywhere (not just in the car)
Cons: its not free

I purchased this about 9 months ago and have been very happy with them until I upgraded to the iPhone 5. Now this unit is a big paper weight until Phillips gets on the ball and creates a cord that works with the iPhone 5.

This was such a great buy for me. Have 3 kids so on long trips they are lifesavers. I would of have it all 5 stars but now that my wife and I have upgrade to iphone 5 we can't use it as we use to. Luckily I still had an old iphone around that's on it's last legs or we just couldn't use them anymore. Hopefully Phillips come out with a solution soon.
Pros: great for long trips, don't have to carry dvds around
Cons: no adapter for 8 pin

We got this to replace our old duel screen DVD player, I was tired of changing movies on long trips or the kids leaving them all over the floor. With this product we could control everything from the front and finally use our digital copies of movies. There is a headphone cable that splits in the bag, it connects directly to the apple product. We also bought an additional y connector to connect to one of the ends because we have 3 kids that way they can all wear headphones. So far its works with the newer Classic, touch (4th gen) and the pad (3rd gen) for us, only downside is it wouldn't charge the classic. I just hope that Philips can make an adapter for the newer 8 pin products to support video.
Pros: no more dvds
Cons: doesn't charge classic, doesn't support new 8 pin products

This was not very well thought out produce

Very disappointed with this product. Very limited product design with kids in mind or flexibility. This product was designed to survive one year at max. Cords connection are not universal, very specific to this product, therefore if there is wear and tear no way to replace. Cords are not designed to handle the stress of a kid grabbing and pulling, nor are the connectors built to be put back together over and over. They promote a good volume level, however there have been movies that I could barely hear with volume knob at max. The cords are only designed to reach first row seats, no options to buy cord extenders since cord connections are not universal.

Where is the headset jack?

The whole point of video in the car is to occupy the kids...why on earth would I want to listen to movies for a 10 hour car ride that I am not watching. Honestly, how difficult would it be to add a headset jack to this unit. Clearly this was not a parent who created this. Otherwise this would have been exactly what I was looking for as there are no other products out there to use my iPod traveling.
Cons: no headset connector

Do not buy.

This product does not support the iPhone 5 or anything with the lightning connector. The cords that plug into the display no longer work and you have to get them in "just right" for anything to play back. Very disappointed after only a year.
