We do get quite a few channels (bout 40) but not all come in clean and many are spanish language. You can get the major channels when pointed towards the city, the key is to place it as high as possible (ours is 25-30 feet up) and not blocked. picture quality is awesome and you do get enough channels to surf. Overall we are satisfied enough that we would not go back to cable. (we have apple TV also) You just need hulu

This is my second antenna. This was to be the ultimate one to get the reception I wanted. But I do not get a reliable signal. Sometimes better than other times, but more often than not I have to deal with signal breakup. This is flat country & I have it on a pole sticking above the roof line. I have tried different positions and nothing enables me to get a steady signal on the couple of stations we enjoy the most. I was hoping to put the antenna in the attic but that for sure would not work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With too many options to choose from, the telephone guidance was invaluable. It was a no-lose prospect. I'd get to try the solution. If it didn't satisfy, I'd be able to return it for a full refund. It worked - better than expected. Having been able to disconnect from cable, it'll pay for itself in less than 2 months. Should have done it years ago.
My reception quality is excellent on most channels, sketchy on others. Your results may vary according to distance from transmitter, obstructions, etc.

Easy to install and gives a fantastic picture. One thing to note. The more TVs to split to, the weaker the signal strength. So I did lose a few channels due to splitting it off to 3 TVs, however nothing I cannot live without. Also, I recommend buying the booster. I did not initially and had choppy signal on certain channels. Once I bought that booster it fixed everything. I did not get more channels with it, but everything now comes in solid and I do not lose signal.
