This fan is great - we use it for white noise at night and to keep the air circulating when it gets hot out. Our old Vornado that had been a hand-me-down from my grandmother ~10 years ago (and I think she had for at least a decade before then) finally quit on us, so we were looking for a replacement. Having a great experience with the last one made us want to stick with the Vornado brand and this one is perfect. Good air circulation, can get loud enough for white noise, but also quiet on lower settings.

I've been living through awful MN summers with naught but a tiny, weak air conditioner. I decided the answer was to get one of these Vornado fans like my grandma had when I was a kid. I made the right decision. The fan is SO powerful that it cools the entire upstairs in a matter of minutes. My tiny weak AC unit is amplified and it's just awesome. My grandma was right!

Vornado is never a let down! I choose this because it is an Energy Smart fan and who doesn't want to save energy... which saves money and the earth! It is great fo home use that you need to circulate air in a medium room. This is used in my workout studio and moves the air, however I do prefer the commercial vornado fan for this space.

I purchased this new fan to replace the Vornado that my son purchased when he was in the Army in early 1990's. It is still going strong but, thought I better get a back up considering it is ran almost 24/7. I love the new Vornado as much as the old one. Great American made product.
