Smart but LOUD

Our family owns 3 Vornado products, 2 large fans and 1 small. The older large fan from 5+ years is great, still running strong and quiet. This model is very loud and produces the same amount air flow as the older. I understand this saves energy but the trade off is very loud and inconvenient.
I support Vornado and their products and it might be I have a lemon as I purchased this when it first came out. Maybe things changed from different generations from this model because I don't know how everyone is having a great review on this?

I have an original Vornado, and appreciate that the transformer is inside the fan base as it seems to keep the original much quieter than the new fan when running full blast, but I wanted it for the real breeze, so it works great for that.

I own to 723 have had for well over 20 years.Sent them both in one for motor and one for a great cleaning.I still have a lifetime guarantee on 1&15 on the other. I’m writing this review because I never do and these are great it was 90 at Redondo Bch. Took one out of the garage and my temp. Went to 86 a cool 86 that was great.if you buy one you’ll be happy make sure you read how to make it circulate One happy owner

My husband and I bought a home recently and the master suite was converted out of the attic. We live in TN. Trust me when I say it is HOT. Our bedroom has been unbearable and we want to invest in a mini split but we just needed something to get through this summer.
Let me start by saying this fan didn’t solve our issues on its own however the problem wouldn’t be fixed with just a regular fan. We placed a regular fan at the bottom of our stairs and this one at the top of the stairs. It went from “oh my gosh I need to sleep In the guest room” to “oh my gosh I need to grab another blanket”.
This fan is quiet and very powerful I honestly don’t think I will ever not own this fan. I have seen where people have said they could turn their air down a few degrees with this fan circulating the air around the room and I could honestly believe it.
If you are on the fence just buy the fan. I promise it is worth it.

I will never buy another brand fan. This is my 3rd Vornado fan. I purchased this to circulate air in the family room/kitchen area of my house. It works perfectly. It is amazing how much air this fan moves. This is a substantial fan with sturdy base and a sleek look.

My 1st lasted well past 10 yrs. my 2nd still runs, but has become very noisy-at low speed. They all run 24/7, with air-flow directed downward in Summer, and upward in
Winter. Having read all the reviews (before purchase), i was astounded by the number of 'noise' complaints--@high speeds. I feel compelled to ask those people: "To whom do you complain, when the wind comes whistling thru the trees, @35-50 mph?" Folks, these things move a lot of air!!! One of the first things i did was crank this pup as high as it would go, and kneeling/standing right next to & behind it, i could detect no machine noise from it-----Just the mighty roar of the wind it created. Nor could i detect any machine/electrical noise @ low speeds.
