Awesome and efficient fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I compared this fan to another, larger fan I have. This fan moves roughly the same amount of air in a smaller, more efficient and quieter package. Within just a few minutes of turning it on, you can feel a difference in the room. The best part is that you aren't limited to 2 or 3 speed settings, the knob allows you to adjust it to the speed you desire/need. I would give this fan as a gift and will buy more to have around the house/shop/garage.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Durable, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base

Nice powerful fan in a compact size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is just the right size for any small to medium sized room. I like you can adjust the fan in the direction you want. Very light so you can move it with ease. Even though it's powerful it's not very noisy. I would recommend this fan to others especially with the summer months coming it will help you stay cool.

I purchased this new fan to replace the Vornado that my son purchased when he was in the Army in early 1990's. It is still going strong but, thought I better get a back up considering it is ran almost 24/7. I love the new Vornado as much as the old one. Great American made product.

Vornado is never a let down! I choose this because it is an Energy Smart fan and who doesn't want to save energy... which saves money and the earth! It is great fo home use that you need to circulate air in a medium room. This is used in my workout studio and moves the air, however I do prefer the commercial vornado fan for this space.

My 1st lasted well past 10 yrs. my 2nd still runs, but has become very noisy-at low speed. They all run 24/7, with air-flow directed downward in Summer, and upward in
Winter. Having read all the reviews (before purchase), i was astounded by the number of 'noise' complaints--@high speeds. I feel compelled to ask those people: "To whom do you complain, when the wind comes whistling thru the trees, @35-50 mph?" Folks, these things move a lot of air!!! One of the first things i did was crank this pup as high as it would go, and kneeling/standing right next to & behind it, i could detect no machine noise from it-----Just the mighty roar of the wind it created. Nor could i detect any machine/electrical noise @ low speeds.

I have an original Vornado, and appreciate that the transformer is inside the fan base as it seems to keep the original much quieter than the new fan when running full blast, but I wanted it for the real breeze, so it works great for that.

Smart but LOUD

Our family owns 3 Vornado products, 2 large fans and 1 small. The older large fan from 5+ years is great, still running strong and quiet. This model is very loud and produces the same amount air flow as the older. I understand this saves energy but the trade off is very loud and inconvenient.
I support Vornado and their products and it might be I have a lemon as I purchased this when it first came out. Maybe things changed from different generations from this model because I don't know how everyone is having a great review on this?
