Awesome and efficient fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I compared this fan to another, larger fan I have. This fan moves roughly the same amount of air in a smaller, more efficient and quieter package. Within just a few minutes of turning it on, you can feel a difference in the room. The best part is that you aren't limited to 2 or 3 speed settings, the knob allows you to adjust it to the speed you desire/need. I would give this fan as a gift and will buy more to have around the house/shop/garage.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Durable, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet, Stable Base

My 1st lasted well past 10 yrs. my 2nd still runs, but has become very noisy-at low speed. They all run 24/7, with air-flow directed downward in Summer, and upward in
Winter. Having read all the reviews (before purchase), i was astounded by the number of 'noise' complaints--@high speeds. I feel compelled to ask those people: "To whom do you complain, when the wind comes whistling thru the trees, @35-50 mph?" Folks, these things move a lot of air!!! One of the first things i did was crank this pup as high as it would go, and kneeling/standing right next to & behind it, i could detect no machine noise from it-----Just the mighty roar of the wind it created. Nor could i detect any machine/electrical noise @ low speeds.

I love this little but mighty fan... it's pretty quiet and really packs a punch. It's definitely a little loud on the highest setting, but I hardly ever need that. I love the design and the size.

I recently bought three big Vornados to get us through this last heat wave. They really move some air! We had an older Vornado from the 1990s, and although the stand is broken, the fan is still working fine, so I know that these fans will give us good service. I was pleased that they are still made in the USA!

This is just like the one I had 25 years ago and loved! It’s got the variable speed knob. Best feature ever on a fan. Super quiet and still puts out all the air. I can’t stand the 3 set speeds and was so happy they finally brought the variable speed back. Hoping it lasts for as many years as the old ones did. My old ones lasted 20 years with almost daily use! Love Vornado and willing to spend the extra money for quality and better features.

I like having this energy-conserving, variable DC motor design. It's quiet and puts out a good column of air.
I deducted 1 star from Design because the power adapter barely makes contact inside the fan. A slight repositioning of the fan and you may lose power. This has already happened multiple times with both 723DC fans that I bought. Maybe a slightly longer plug would solve the problem.
