Control panel on coffeemaker doesn't match book.

Control panel shown in manual is different from what is on coffemaker. The auto and hour buttons are switched on the actual coffeemaker from what shows in the manual. Manual's layout makes sense with the hour and minute settings on the same side. It seems like the machine was incorrectly manufactured.

I love that this coffeemaker is programable and has auto shut off!! I wanted a new coffeemaker because my last one would leak when the coffee was poured. I thought getting a new one would be great, NOT so much..... It still leaks!

This coffee pot makes a popping or a snapping sound even when it is not in use. Not sure why? Makes coffee fine but, I am concerned about the popping noise,

Spills over filter constantly

I bought this coffee maker about two months ago. The price and programmable feature is what attracted me to it - but now they're not so attractive. The coffee maker works fine IF you're making quantities smaller than the advertised 10-12 cups. When I try to go full capacity, the filter overflows and spills grounds over into the caraf and onto the hot plate and on to my counter top. There's nothing I like more than cleaning up coffee grounds off my coffee maker and counter top at 3 am. I think part of the issue is the coffeemaker perkolates the water faster than the full filter can drain out into the pot. My suggestion - if you are constantly making "full" pots, look for another unit. If all you make is 5-6 cups at a time, this will work fine.

It has this little flap between the top lid and the where water comes out into the coffee area . The flap comes up and hot water spills over the cover and onto the counter, hence making a mess to wipe up. I've snapped the flap several times and yet somehow it pops back up. Flap should be a fixed flap.

Replaced a Proctor-Silex unit that was easily 10 years old. This B-D unit is just swell, works super good, love the pre-set for next morning feature, it looks pretty good on the kitchen counter top, kind of wish the " 2 hour shut off " function could be disabled though. In synopsis > > > It makes coffee reliably that tastes good !

I purchased this product about 8 months ago and still have not found a way to pour coffee from the carafe without a lot spilling down the side of the carafe and onto the surface below. The design of the spout is terrible. I know others who own Black and Decker coffee makers and complain about the same problem.
