You get what you pay for...

I have had two of these coffee makers now... I bought my current one to replace one that simply stopped working less than 6 months ago and now the new one has stopped working as well. The light comes on and says its working but no coffee ever comes out... I guess this is what I get for opting for the inexpensive one. I will not be buying another black and decker product. And I will forewarn all my friends before they buy one too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very upset

I bought a b+d 12 cup programmable coffee maker a few months back and it will not brew anything now. Worked great at first but today the light and clock are the only thing that's working. It will not brew and I cannot figure out why!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Me and my coffee maker.

Let's start off with the fact that I am a taxi driver.
I have no real set schedule but whenever I wake up I go over to an area of witch I live. I call it my coffee station.
My Black, Black and Decker coffee maker sits on a table which I had to make because nothing else looked right so I had to make my own table made of oak from scraps I found in yard sales. On that there is containers of coffee too sugar stirring implements and a multicolored green, red, brown, beige geometrically designed tablecloth that's just a little too small which makes it look kind of sexy. I have to admit it is kind of a focus point but some people actually asked me is that where I pray. My friends like to go over there and make coffee or tea. And all because of the coffee maker that you made.

Stopped Working!

I had this coffee maker for less than a month and it just stopped working. One morning I put the water and coffee in, turned it on, and nothing! What really makes me angry is that I had a Mr. Coffee for the past 15 years, it still worked, my daughter bought this coffee maker because she thought I needed a new one. I guess I will be buying a new Mr. Coffee today...definitely not a Black & Decker!

Excellent Price-Poor Performance

My last coffeemaker was a B&D and worked very well but unfortunately after two and one half years the carafe cracked. We decided to get a new one and stay with B&D. I ran a batch of fresh water to clean it out in preparation of using it the next day. The next day the coffeemaker would not brew. The on light was lit but the coffeemaker would not heat up. Very disappointed to say the least. It is going back to the store today. I am skeptical of taking a chance again on B&D.

This pot makes great coffee, and is what I was looking for, but there is one outstanding problem I've had with it. When you open the lid to pour water in, the condensation on the inside of the lid runs down the back of the pot onto the counter. [And the lid needs to opened all the way to get the water in.]
Not sure why it was designed this way but it needs to be changed somehow so that doesn't happen.

Brews coffee with less amount of grounds. Easy to pour in water.

Pour a mess of coffee

The Black & Decker coffee machines are wonderful for the price, but the pour spout on the pot included in this model (and others with the same pot) isn't properly shaped for the perfect pour... It is almost completely impossible to pour coffee from this pot without spilling small to rather large amounts of coffee... It could be that they want you to pop for the replacement pot (but frankly, I have a pot from an old machine (not made by B & D) that I use when I encounter a coffee container that I dislike. Pouring liquid's not hard, and I happen to know that they've had this product flaw for about 2 years at least.... B & D needs some coffee pot R & D.
