This is my second safe...I have an older one about the same size that I purchased quite a few years ago to keep irreplaceable negatives safe. This second one is for legal documents. One day I may replace these two smaller ones with a larger one.

I like the box. Good and strong but I thought the inside space would be bigger. Hoping to be able to stand my envelopes up not have to pay them down. Disappointed

I purchased this safe from a Sentry retailer 6 months ago and like it very much. I bought it to keep our licenses/passports/cash/flash drives contained. It comes with a nice handle for easy moving; I typically have to use two hands to maneuver because of it's weight. We keep this in a closet, but it's very easy to get to when needed. A super value and I may even buy one more down the road. We have other Sentry safes that we like just as well. Let's pray that we never have to find out whether or not the safes can withstand the temperature of a fire. Definitely recommend.

I wanted a small waterproof and fire proof strong box and thought this would be ideal. Unfortunately, when opened, I found white powder inside and caked in the handle assembly. I also discovered that the fireproof material has a high water content and it is not recommended to store jewelry, watches or pearls inside. That makes me wonder about paper products too. There is no seal around the lid so I doubt it is waterproof. Not a good purchase!

Thanks for your feedback. This particular model is a fire only safe. During a fire the insulation inside forms a solid case protecting the contents from the extreme temperatures. To help prevent moisture, use desiccant packets and open the safe every couple of weeks.

Might be a design flaw but I have one that used to be my cousins and i can get this open in practically under ten seconds with basic lock picking tools I have.

Any safe can be open with the same key.

I bought a safe for myself and my parents have a bigger safe with the same company or brand, whatever and I went to see if their key could open my safe and boom it opened. What’s the point of having a safe if a can be opened with any key.

Safe is horrible and can easily be opened without a key and anything skinny and flat that can go in the key whole. Because of this flaw someone was able to steal over $7k dollars from me
