I love this safe from the time I got it. It is simple easy in and out it locks and unlocks very easily. It seems to be unbreakable.

It's a safe in which you cannot store medications, jewelry, firearms, ammo, and paperwork, because the water-gel-based fire retardant will rust and mildew these things. In any case, the interior is just a bit too small for 8 1/2" x 11" pages. You'll have to fold or bend them. Too bad all this wasn't mentioned on the outside of the box, only the inside and on a decal inside the safe.
Combine all that with the loose lid, cheap lock and another instruction that you can't store it on its side, only on its bottom, and it's safe to say this one's a dud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A HUNK OF JUNK, a waste of money, deserves 0 stars

A hunk of junk, it took me almost 20 minutes to try inserting either of the keys into the lock cylinder. The Sentry “safe” is anything but safe. I would not place anything worth saving inside of this “safe” out of fear that I would not be able to access it when needed. I am incredibly disappointed with this purchase deeply regret having bought this “safe.”

So the box itself is made superbly…it’s tough and fireproof..however it’s not moisture-proof(so they say to store items in a plastic bag).. and there are minimal things that are actually suggested to store in there surprisingly…but quite a few things they suggest to NOT store …at first glance it looks huge not to mention it is extremely heavy… but upon further inspection it’s big enough to store very little…even if you were just storing paperwork it wouldn’t hold that many papers in fact a normal sheet of paper is too wide to fit so would have to be folded up….one of my keys are hard to get into the hole but the other one works fine so not the biggest issue..there isn’t really any way to fasten it to anything so someone could just grab it and go….probably would have returned it but it was a gift….

Adequate for my needs for document storage. A feature I would like to see is the ability to securely latch the chest and preserve fire resistance without needing to lock it. That way a thief could open the chest, see there was nothing to steal and not take it away to open elsewhere.
