Very Nice TV

I picked up this little beauty on Friday night and I have now had about 10 hours with it. I will say the picture out of the box was not hat great, but after tweaking it for a while and using the Picture Wizard I am very happy with what I have now.
For those that do not have a TruMotion option you will need to contact LG or whomever you purchased the set from and get a new one, as this option is available on my TV. Someone had mentioned that they already contacted LG support; I just wanted to confirm that the option is available on my 55LM7600.
I am coming from a 1080i TV, so the picture on this TV with my PS3 and the Blu-Ray disk of Casino Royale was more than I could ask for. The beginning of the movie has a ton of motion with swirling colors and a killer chase scene at a construction site. I saw no blur at all. It was smooth and flawless. I have watched this Blu-Ray many times on my other TV and all I can say is Wow. This was during the day and even with open window shades the reflection was minimal, from where I was sitting.
I was able to hook up to my network and view the content of all my devices. This includes a Windows Vista and Windows 7 PC and my EVO phone.
The online selection is vast and I was able to play with a few things. Google Earth looks awesome on this TV. I did not have the problems with Netflix that others are having but I am using a wired connection since I already had cable run for my PS3.
Someone mentioned that they saw flash lighting on the screen when they accessed the different apps, or changed the input source. I have that also but they go away right before the app or program starts, so it’s not hurting my picture at all. I’m not sure why it does it but it does. During the blackest scenes I see no flash lighting at all.
The magic remote is what it is. I don’t really have a problem with it except the arrow goes off the screen to fast for my liking and I am still looking for a setting to change that. So if you are reading something on the screen or trying to figure out which app to select if you don’t move the remote for 5(?) seconds it goes off and you have to shake it again to get it back on. Other than that, I like it. Way easier to navigate around the menus than up up up, left left left left. Plus the scrolling wheel makes the navigation a breeze, especially when you are going through 1000’s of pictures or music from your PC or phone.
The sound from the TV is fine for 10 watt tiny speakers. The sound bar helps a ton. I don’t have a receiver that can handle the TV yet, so I was unable to try out surround and all that good stuff.
I was able to try out the 3D and it looks great. I really haven’t tweaked the settings or played around with it much, but out of the box it looks good. And with the passive system you can actually lie down and watch it, try that all you active 3D people. Of course the glasses are light weight like the theater glasses and I didn’t have any problems in the hour I was watching it. The 2D to 3D conversion seems to work well. I didn’t see any ghosting or other anomalies while watching.
I was able to find the correct codes for my Xfinity (Comcast) remote control, so I can change the input source and move through all the TV settings without having to use the magic remote. Of course it is easier to navigate with the Magic Remote.
The sound bar does turn on and off with the TV, which is nice, but you can only control the volume with the remote that came with the bar. I have not tried to input the codes into my Comcast remote yet. On a side note the sound bar is blue tooth so I can stream music from my phone over it. Kinda cool.
I watched Hanna from the HD Cable source in the dark and I still couldn’t see any flash lighting or problems with the set.
For me this was a great purchase and I’m very happy with the set overall.
Post any questions and I will see if I can give you an answer.

After doing alot of research on 3D/Smart TV's I decided to purchase the LG 55LM7600 and I am very glad I did. I did comparisons on active versus passive 3D and I have no complaints about the passive 3D at all. The built in apps and hardwired networking option is a plus as well. I am using the TV in a networked environment for streaming and it has worked very well. I have the TV connected to a AV receiver and the 2 work very well together. The ability to create a custom view by tweaking the multiple video choices is definitely a plus. I guess the only partial negative I could come up with is that the TV does not have a closed caption option anywhere in the menu. At times I need this option to assist with a programs dialogue. Thankfully my satellite provider has the option on its receiver box...not a deal breaker, but something that I noticed. All in all it is an excellent TV that I would definitely recommend!

It will break right after warranty is up!

Was in love with this TV when I first bought it (sort of).
Took me 3 returns to best buy to get one that wasn't screwed up from uneven lighting.
When I got one that worked it was great. Picture was great, features were good.
Now 14 months in to ownership (2 mos out of warranty) a pixel cluster has gone dead that results in a 1/4" grey spot on the screen with a black center and now lighting has gotten more uneven like the ones I returned and the bottom corner is always brighter than the rest of the TV. LG - GET SOME QUALITY CONTROLS ON YOUR MANUFACTURING!
If you think you might have any issues do something about it before your warranty is up so you're not stuck like me!

First let me say that so far have only watched Netflix and over the air broadcasts. I don't have a 3D-Capable Blu-ray Disc™ Player or cable/satellite.
THE GOOD:
high quality picture 3D conversion is great - even works on Netflix. internet browser with wireless connectivity 6 pairs of lightweight comfortable passive 3D glasses included in the box RF remote controls the TV from another room - no line of sight needed low power consumption with little heat produced attractive design of both TV and stand
THE NOT SO GOOD:
so many adjustments it is totally overwhelming hard to get natural looking flesh tones internet browser is SLOW - nowhere near as good as my computer on the same wireless network. Sometimes the browser will just stop responding to the remote (except for the power button) - it just locks up and the only thing I can do is turn the TV off and on again. screen reflects - especially lamps turning off "mute" can take 1,2 or 3 presses of the button
Pros: Style/Design, Quality

Fantastic picture quality

The LM 557600 is a fantastic TV. The thin design makes it look like your looking into a picture. You have to take the time to calibrate the TV to get the best picture quality. I recommend the Disney World of Wonder disc. Put the effort in - you won't be sorry. Other recommendation is to hardwire TV to internet. Speeds are much faster and allow for effortless streaming of movies via the intenet (Vudu, Netflix)
Pros: Performance

Fantastic HD TV

I researched for nearly 4 weeks prior to buying this TV. I have a 52" LCD from a different well known manufacturer already, and was replacing the 2nd TV that I have (an older 32" tube). The decision came down to this TV and one by the same manufacturer that I already have one from. Although I was leaning towards the other TV due to my experience with it's great clarity, I decided on the LG given the large number of positive reviews. I almost took the TV back after a week, since the picture "out of the box" left alot to be desired. The screen controls for this TV took awhile to learn and get use to. However after about 10 days of trying different settings, I was able to get the picture to incredible clarity. The HD and 3D picture on this TV are wonderful, especially with high speed motion (sports, racing, etc). Watching the Olympics on it has been an awesome experience as well. I'm glad I stuck it out and tried to work through the issues. Very happy with this TV
Bought this TV after extensive research and it lives up to the 5 star reviews. The picture quality is far beyond my expectations.Standard 2DTV is so clear and the depth of the picture looks like 3D.I haven't tried 3D yet. Speaker quality isn't the very best but it does the job considering the thicknes of the unit.I have it hooked up to my home audio system so this wasn't a negative for me.I would highly recommend this product. Also the magic remote is super easy to use vs one with a bunch of buttons.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, amazing picture

First you'll thank yourself for investing in the 240Hz instead of the 120Hz! If you're streaming video like Netflix or Hulu this absolutely makes a difference. No matter if you're watching SD, HD or 3D the picture quality will blow you away. We first watched some movies on DVD we've had a long time. My fiance' would pause the movie and say, "I can't believe the things that I can see on this TV that I've never noticed before, it's almost too real!"
If you've read any reviews that complain about the remote, forget about it! The remote is cool and easy to learn/get used to.
This is the first TV (or electronics) purchase that I've ever felt like it was an investment. When you get the email from LG on tips to get more out of your TV, PAY ATTENTION... this is truly a big help! Especially when watching movies!
This TV is... you guessed it... UH-MAZING!!!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, uh-mazing-ness :-)
