Everything Great EXCEPT

We use headsets so that one can watch TV while the other sleeps. Plugging Headsets into the jack in the back does NOT turn off the sound. So, you must choose by the menu that its EXTERNAL speakers and the manual even says that the sound from the jack cannot be modified.
This TV is not a good choice if you wish to use a headset. So, the solution is to buy an EXTERNAL sound Amplifier and choose EXTERNAL Speakers and use the sound amplifier to turn up the volume.
Other than this, it's a very good TV with a very good picture.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not meant for headset use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Picture, Dissapointing Sound

In comparison to our 32" Samsung TV, this new 50 inch TV's sound does not appear to be equal to the speakers we have on the older Samsung TV. Other than the quality of the speakers, I would rate this as a five-star in all categories..
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: sound quality

TV went dead after 15 months of below average usage

Approximately 15 months after purchase the TV went dead. I was watching the NCAA tournament when I heard an unusual pop from the TV and it was dead due to a failed power board. This is the first set I ever owned that lasted less than 7 years. Extremely disappointed with the product performance and would not recommend another Samsung TV product to anyone in the market for a reliable TV.
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Absolutely love this Samsung 50". The picture and colors are so crisp/clear. Makes the show choices we make that much more enjoyable. Will be sticking with the Samsung brand.

We just love our Samsung Smart TV. I love how there are so many apps, I can watch my MLB.TV on it. I love that feature. I also love the clarity,and beautiful picture that this model gives off. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a Smart TV. Very affordable too.
