Otterbox... is for me the BEST protection of everything electronic~portable being that I have never used anything else.

I needed a case to protect our iPad mini from the unintentional clumsiness of my 5yo son (and 37yo wife). This case is perfect. My wife is pleased that it's not as "bulky" as some Otter Box cases and that it's a "pretty color". Win win for me. Our investment is protected AND I got my wife something "pretty".

I really like the otter-box case for my iPad mini. The one drawback is that I cannot close and secure it unless I really struggle with it. It is also very difficult to open.

Recently bought an iPad Mini 2 Retina tablet. I am a fan of Otterbox cases and covers. Because I don't swap out my tech devices when new models appear, I always shop for a durable case for the device upon buying a new device. This fits this model iPad well and I have a protective screeen cover on it as well and it all works together. I will say you probably cannot use a "glass" type screen protective cover with this model of Otterbox case. The front flap has a very tight/snug fit. My only slight small negative about this case/cover is that sometimes it is hard to lift the cover from the case to use my iPad. Very tight fight! You can always count on Otterbox products to give your devices great protection. I liked this one because it has a rubberized type surface that helps in holding it or on resting it on certain more slick type surfaces. All in all, I am pleased with this model and the color choice of gray w/Merlot accent color.
