[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new dishwasher doesn't hold quite as much as our previous Whirlpool model. Also, after several uses we had a bad odor coming from it, and wondered why--if it was installed correctly or not. Since that one time, it's been alright.
I have had several dishwashers, and this Amana is my favorite. It cleans exceptionally well, and I use the normal cycle. It is quiet - and I recommend this dishwasher. The only downfall is that sometimes the cups in the upper rack have a little water left on the top after the drying cycle. Not a big deal - I would rather use a paper towel and wipe it off - than have to rewash dishes!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my dishwasher as an early Christmas present from my husband. I was first impressed by how quiet it was compared to my old dishwasher. I like the stainless steel interior and the black front that matches the rest of my appliances. It does a great job cleaning and in a way that saves energy and I like that. Over all I love my new Amana dishwasher.
I've had this for a month now and I am glad I bought this one. It is very quiet and the dishes come out very clean. The only downfall is even on the heat setting for drying, they do not come out dry. Not that much of a biggy, I just open the door a little while after the cycle has finished and the heat has cooled down. Of course I'd rather have dry dishes but at least there is an easy solution than my drying them all by hand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine is ultra quiet, which is why we selected it. The controls are conveniently located but they are very small and hard to read. The vinyl rack system is smooth in sliding in and out but the racks are not designed to accommodate many plate or bowels. The cup rack has the same issue. Based on our family size these issues are not huge but they are worth noting.
