[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this sight unseen, as a product not on floor display at my local big box store. Bought on reputation of name and price, Not disappointed. Just wish I could have seen it before ordering. Wanted a stainless front and tub. Good feature is the one hour cycle.
Old dishwasher was 20 years old. The new Amana with stainless interior is super more quieter, detergent dispenser vastly improved, and interior very easy to clean.
I bought this dishwasher to replace a 13 year-old Amana that finally lost it's interest in draining properly. Rather than try and repair it, I decided it was time for a new one. I shopped all brands of dishwashers but kept coming back to the Amana for the quality in relation to the price. It's one of the most affordable stainless steel inside and out dishwashers available. I'm happy to say that it also cleans extremely well, even on the shortest cycle. And man is it quiet! I could hardly tell that it was running. This is a huge plus for me since the kitchen is part of an entirely open floor plan on that level of the house. Without the television or music playing, we can still barely hear the dishwasher operating. A nice quiet dinner can be had while the pots and pans from dinner are being cleaned. Thank you so much Amana!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We've only had this dishwasher for about a month, but we're very pleased with it. We normally do a light scrub on our dishes before loading, so I can't comment on how well it cleans caked-on food. But, we've had no issues with dishes coming out dirty. Yes, the regular cycle with heated dry is long (3 hours +), but most of the time we're running after dinner and in no rush for it to finish. The shortest cycle with a light dry only takes a little over an hour. We've used both cycles, and I can't tell much difference between the two. Both seem to clean well and the dishes come out dry (with the exception of plastics which almost never dry in any dishwasher). We've only used it with JetDry added, so drying performance is likely poorer if you don't use a drying agent. It also has a larger interior than others that we looked at. The individual flatware slots fold up out of the way if you're like us and don't want to use them. In addition, this was the cheapest dishwasher we found with a stainless tub, and it's as quiet as any other dishwasher we've owned (you can barely tell it's running most of the time). One con is that the front panel isn't true stainless (magnets stick to it) and is rather thin (bows in and out when depressed). All in all though, this is a great dishwasher for the price if you're looking for interior and exterior stainless.
Wow, dishwashers have come a long way! I had an apartment size dishwasher for about the last 12 years and this thing is HUGE by comparison. Bottom rack is great for tall items. Utensil tray has two closed baskets for washing small items, even has slots I can put water bottle straws in. Sound level is the lowest I have ever heard in a dishwasher. Appearance is attractive and it is very simple to use.
Everything is great but the stainless finish is too fragile.

I have a new Amana dishwasher. It works extremely well. The only issue I have is the finish on the stainless steel door. There were "stickers" on the door, When they came off you had to remove the goo that held them in place. I used soap and water and wiped the door clean, but the process left the stainless with a sort of "brush mark". I don't believe there should be any stickers on the stainless if it is going to leave marks when you remove them. I believe there should be some warning as to how to remove these stickers.
We bought our dishwasher a few weeks ago and are extremely happy with the value and performance of the product. Our dishes have never been this clean from a dishwasher! Great looks, easy to install, super quiet while operating and the price didn't break the bank!
