Good fridge, works great, sings a little off key.

I got this fridge last year, and have had no issues. I love the way it looks in my kitchen.
While researching which one to buy, I kept reading that this model was loud. This doesn't bother me, because the kitchen is isolated from the rest of the house. I admit to being amused by some of the sounds this fridge can make. It sometimes literally sings (though it can be a bit out of tune with whatever is going on). Other times it seems to mimic sound effects (like sirens, frogs, water running).
The only reason I give only 4 stars is that others might not be as amused by the sounds as I am.

Spend a little more for a better GE product.

I always purchase GE products. This is my first disappointing one. Its noisy, there is no freezer light and the fridge light doesnt always come on. The freezer is too small.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It performs well, no freezing of food items in refrigerator compartments. It's also has plenty of storage space.

GE is a brand I grew up with from the 1950's. I am glad to see GE is supporting the America At Work program making fine quality products on US soil
