Almost perfect!

I love the feel, color and weight of this case. It keeps my iPad upright and I love that it can be rotated for those apps that don't. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the volume buttons on the case don't line up with the buttons on my iPad Air. I made pen marks on the outside of the cover to better locate my iPad volume. It works alright but I don't need to adjust the volume that often.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Seperated & heavy

I purchased this case about 2 weeks ago. I do agree with other reviews that it is too heavy (especially when you're using an "air" model) but after having broken a previous ipad, I'll take heaviness over breakage.
My main issue however is that the sleeve came away from the cover portion very easily (by my 8 year old the first time he used it) but two grown adults can't put it back together. Due to how easily it was taken apart I thought for sure it was suppose to function like that (which actually would be a nice feature & helps with the weight issue). It appears like it SHOULD snap back into place rather easily. As you can see in the photo, none of the plastic is snapped or broken on it. We've been trying for 2 days to get it back together but no luck. I came on here to see if I was doing something wrong but then saw on the Q&A that it's not suppose to operate like that...? So I guess I have just a sleeve now and no case to support it into a viewing mode or protect the screen, which defeats why I purchased this model.
If I AM doing something wrong and these two parts are suppose to be able to snap back together, someone please point me in the direction to fixing it. Thank you! =)

Too heavy

What Otterbox fails to mention is that this case weighs more than your iPad Air2. The case weighs an estimated 1.2 lbs which more than doubles the weight when combined with the slim and trim.96lbs of the iPad. Case appears it would provide good protection but it takes away from the light feeling of the iPad Air2 creating a feeling as cumbersome as previous iPad models. If you're more interested in protection, no matter the weight, than this would be a good pick for you. Extremely difficult to get your iPad out of this case once it is in. I was very concerned it would scratch the aluminum or my screen might crack while trying to get the case off! Thankful I was able to "rescue" my iPad unscathed. Nice color. Portrait and landscape views helpful and a nice touch. Will be returning though as I bought an Air2 for it's light nature.

Not compatible with iPad Air 2

This cover does not fit an iPad Air 2!!!! The volume buttons are not usable when this cover is on.

If this is an alignment issue, then it could be that you have an iPad Air instead of the Air 2, as the volume controls are really the only major exterior difference between the two tablets. Great except for cover

I just bought my iPad Air 2 yesterday and have always relied on otter box for my cellphones so naturally I needed one for my iPad. I put the symmetry folio case on today and it seemed to be great. But the stand never locks in. I've tried to lock it in from all angles but it does not stick at all. I am very disappointed.

Worth the wait!!

I am an iP6+ user with the Otterbox Symmetry so when I saw this case, I had to have it for my Air 2. Waited some time for it to be available for purchase (glacier storm color) but it was so worth the wait. This case is easy on and easy off, and offers the perfect level of protection; I don't need Defender protection because I'm very protective of my devices, but the occasional drop does happen and this handles it well. This is a protective and stylish case, and of course it adds weight to the iPad because its a polycarbonate case the size of the iPad. Would recommend to anyone who is easy on their iPad, but wants protection that looks good.

I have an Otter Box case with holster for my Galaxy 5,so I decided to replace my poorly made competitor case for my iPad Air 2 with an Otter Box.The one I ordered from an online retailer had smudges,fingerprints on the screen protector-it's on it's way back to the seller(obviously a return).Got the Symmetry here locally,WOW excellent case.Otter Box makes the best cases for your expensive devices.
