I am 56 years old, and have never used an electric razor before. I read a lot on-line, and expected a poor shaving experience initially. I was very happy to discover that the shave was very close, first time out, and has continued to be so. I really love this shaver.
I am not impressed with my razor. I do not believe that it cuts that well or that quickly. I personally am not happy with how it feels in my hand. I have another Norelco razor that is about 12 years old that needs new heads, but that gives me a closer and faster shave. I bought another Norelco because I liked the one that I have had all these years, but I will have to think about what brand I want to get the next time.
It doesn't shave properly. I wasted my money. I need to do five or six times to make sure beard is shaved completely and also it cuts my skin sometimes
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

• Shaving on a dry face gives the best results.

This shaver is very convenient and easy to use. However, it does not seem to shave as close as the Phillips shaver I used up to the time I purchased this one. Also, not leaving on charge more than eight hours, to not decrease battery life, is not always possible. Otherwise, I do like the shaver.
I bought my first electric shaver when I was in the US military stationed in Germany 1958-1960. Over the years I have owned at least 4 philips electric shavers.
