Even if an immediate decrease in performance is not noticeable, your shaving head will gradually become less sharp and precise. That is why we recommend that you replace your shaving head every 12 months.
The ideal replacement frequency depends on your shaving frequency and the thickness of your facial hair.

The motor well it seems weak. It feels like it's going to fall
apart as I use it. The plastic that hold the heads fits loosely
into the razor I feel like I have to hold it together to keep it from
bumping. I hope it quits working so I can go find something that
is heftier.

I had one just like it and used it for 8 or 9 years before the plastic gear that rotates the blades broke. Thats why I bought another one, if it lasts as long as the previous one I will be happy.
