Pricey but.

bought the set and the dryer is quiet and easy to use. Didnt need all the options but the only way to gety the color is to by the machines with everything.

This is a great dryer.I haven't used the steam feature yet but I am very satisfied with the way it works so far. The clothes dry quickly and thoroughly.

I love my new dryer. There are numerous settings to choose and I really like the steam option. This holds a huge load. It is very energy efficient also

Cabrio 8800 is Great

We had a 20 year old top load washer that filled completely up with water. So when we got the new Whirlpool High Efficiency top loader it took a few loads to see how the new technology works. The LED Basket Light feature (only on the Cabrio 8800 series) is so cool because you can leave it on during the cycle and watch everything.I must admit that at first I was skeptical, but after watching 5 or 6 loads I am now confident that the new machine does a very good job and gets all our clothes clean.Since the HE machines use less water the clothes have to remain in contact with the agitator plate in order for the machine to work right. If the basket filled completely with water items would float up and no agitation would take place. The machine senses how much water is needed and I find that the water level is always about _ of the way to the top of the items in the basket.The Whirlpool Cabrio is pretty quiet, and makes different noises. Low volume sounds like gurgling, splashing, and whirling. There is also very little vibration and the machine remained stable even when I washed our king sized comforter.I am using liquid HE detergent and it dissolves well and leaves the clothes smelling fresh. Have also tried Oxi and fabric softener. The Whites cycle with Oxi worked really well on a large load or whites. Also the faster spin cycle does a great job of wringing out all the water. At the end of the cycle items are fairly dry. After 10 loads we have never found any soap residue on clothes.Best suggestion I can make is read your operators manual because they have lots of tips in there. For example, if your clothes are getting twisted up try reducing the soil level to help eliminate that problem. The lower the soil level the less agitation takes place.The biggest complaint we have is wish we had gone with white instead of the chrome shadow color because although it looks sleek the chrome shows dust & finger prints really bad.
