Looking to buy my second one

I'm looking to replace my first one of these, and it survived many years of heavy cleaning and use. From the car to pet stains and for a little while when money was tight I even cleaned my carpets with it. I can't say enough about the abuse this thing can take. I will add, for those wondering how to clean it...you do need to do a very thorough vacuum. But also, every time I used mine I ran water into my bathroom sink and sucked up just plain clean water to rinse/clean all of those parts that you can't see or get to. It seems that thorough cleaning after every use, and letting it dry, has been crucial.

As a mom of two boys that are constantly in sports, I can't keep things clean, or so I thought. This cleaner helps bring my seats, carpet, and couch back to spotless again! I love my little green! I have yet to have a stain in the last 4 yers that it hasn't taken care of, and with two cats that's saying a lot. It even took dark drow furniture stain out of my carpet. It is amazing! However, I am having a problem with cleaning the dirty water tank and now it is begining to smell. I have filled it with hot soapy water and left it to soak, but that doesn't get a lot of the residue that is left behind. Is there a way to take the bottome of the compartment off, so that I could better access the grim?

Thanks for the great review and sorry you are getting a bad smell in the unit. We recommend suctioning up clean warm water through the hose after using and emptying the tank immediately. I like nearly everything about this little machine. It is easy to assemble and use, and does a good job cleaning the spots I need to clean. I used it on the floor mats from our RV, which were a dirty mess, after repair people tracked oily dirt on them. All the spots came out, with the recommended pre-spottibng I did. The only drawback is that the carpet is left wetter than I wish it were. I know this relates mostly to the power of the motor and suction it provides. It's a small drawback, since most cleaning I do with it won't be on oily dirt, which required extra cleaning.
