Worth every penny

When I received this unit as a Christmas gift several years ago, I got online and looked at reviews to see if it was worth keeping, as I had my eye on a more expensive unit. I saw that Little Green received many unfavorable reviews because the sprayer became gummed up by the cleaner and didn't work anymore after a few times. One review mentioned cleaning the injector/sprayer after each use, so that's what I did. It's been 4 or 5 years now, and our Little Green is still going strong. Here is what I do to clean it (and it only takes 5 minutes): Clean dirty water out of tank and put back in unit. Rinse the clean-water tank so that all soap has been rinsed out. Fill it up with clean, hot water. Turn the machine back on, heater and all, and spray all the water into a bucket - Here's where I notice the biggest difference - I spray about a third of the water from clean water reservoir into the bucket before sucking it up. This way, there is a good deal of force that pushes any dirt/dust/hair out of the guts of the dirty water tank. Repeat that until the water has been sprayed out and vacuumed into the dirty water tank. Your scrub brush end attachment should've been cleaned out some by doing this, as well. Hope this helps!

Good for a quick clean job

I own the Little Green portable cleaner as well as an upright cleaner. I like the Little Green one because it's easy to grab and go for those quick, unexpected messes. The water reservoirs are easy to fill and clean. It has great cleaner coverage/spray and the suctioning is powerful. All in all, it does a great job getting the messes up. However, this is the second one I have owned. My BIGGEST complaint, is that there is no way to completely take apart the brush/suction head and stuff gets stuck and gunk gets trapped in there and the way it's angled, there is no way to get it out. Doesn't matter how much water you run through it or soak it etc, there is just no way to get it completely clean. Which drives me crazy! I had hoped that this being my second one, that would have been an improvement someone made. Especially since the brush head is clear and you can actually SEE the things trapped.

I have a male and he just won't stop peeing on my bottom ruffle curtains. This saved my couch and love seat from my girlfriend cutting them off. I wish I could teach my male not to pee on those ruffles but he's just to old . I also have other Bissell products and use regularly. I have 1 carpet and it's in the bedroom. Which had other dogs on it so my male has marked all the spots the other dogs have used as a bathroom way before I even got here. I have corrected the problem with my upright Bissell washer for pets..

So I went and got a puppy for companionship. My grandson Gavin named her, Lucy. I saw your carpet cleaner on TV and I was sold. Do not know what I did before with out it.
