Great results but parts should be cleanable

I had an older model of the Little Green and loved it. It was the only appliance ever that I would go out of my way to tell my friends to get. I eventually needed to replace and bought the 1400B. It cleans just as wonderfully, but the area just under the clear window on the cleaning tool very quickly collected trapped pet fur and debris. You cannot remove the window, so the dirt must remain. The waste tank also does not allow you to open it for cleaning and can, even with rinsing after use, collect debris. It is hard to feel that the unit is doing a good job when I take it out to use and it looks dirty. It's unfortunate that such an amazing cleaning product should seem less fantastic than it is because you cannot keep it clean. Sadly, I would purchase a competitor's model if the parts were cleanable, even if it was less robust and I had to replace it more often. Regarding replies to similar posts recommending replacing dirty parts, I feel that replacement is a solution for parts that are broken. Parts that come into contact with dirt as part of their job should be cleanable.

The cleaning tools can be cleaned by taking a bowl of water, and suction the water back into the collection tank to push the dirt through. By doing this will clean the upholstery hose also. If possible, dry vacuum before deep cleaning to reduce the dirt in the nozzle. We hope this helps!

No suction

My dog yakked on the couch. Took out my new Bissel Little Green machine. What a joke! I could have done a better job with a mop. It has next to zero suction. Sprays nicely heated hot water on, but doesn't remove but about 10% of it. My couch is now soaked. Using the rest of the tank on some carpet spots, and then refilling the tank once, before the recovery tank was only half full. It has a useless venturi driven power brush that can be used as a brush, or an extraction head, but not both at the same time? Who thinks of this stuff? The spray nozzle puts out a beautiful even spray, about 4 inches wider on both sides than the extraction head, so you're not able to control what gets wet or not. Like the arms of the sofa. You're going to soak the cushions and the floor at the same time. Spending more time cleaning up after the machine than the machine does cleaning. This is the worst design ever.

Depending on the material of your couch, you may want to work in small areas spraying then immediately scrubbing and suctioning back up. This will help eliminate the formula from soaking into the couch making it tough to suction back out of the cushioning. I hope that helps.

Convenient and portable

I bought the Little Green because my house has a carpeted staircase that comes directly out of the garage to the kitchen, It gets super grungy and needs frequent cleaning. I did the math, and by the time I horsed around a gigantic rental cleaner two times, I could own the Little Green. I love the portability and convenience...and it does a good job.

I agree with most of the previous reviews. Very easy to use, solution works well on very dirty furniture. Only drawback is the brush is hard to clean out. The clear part should be removable so it could be rinsed clean. The brush is cheap enough to replace, but wouldn't it be better if you didn't have to replace it?

Works beyond expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received machine as a gift and was easy to set up but was missing the clip that holds the hose to the machine. The 3" brush worked very well cleaning and sucking up the dirty water. I followed up with a large shop vac to see how much more water I could extract and was amazed when I found very little. Clean up was real easy and I just leave clean water solution in place for the next accidental spill- not a big deal that solution water would be cold rather than warm- more important to clean spills before they "set".
