I use them specifically for mailing DVDS that I have just recorded and they are thinner than jewel cases, thus the optimal choice for me.

As a dance instructor it is great to have an easy to carry CD holder that I can put in a binder along with our performance information. I hand this sleeve off to the DJ or person in charge of the music system wherever my students are performing. The only problem is that the holes seem to be a little off in comparison to former sleeves. It's a little difficult to flip the sleeves on the binder rings. Otherwise, I am very happy with the product
