Very nice printer!

I have been using the WP-4020 for less than a week but from the time I took it out of the box until I had it working on a network was the fastest of any printer I have owned. I have it on a wired network and it will also print from a wireless laptop. Perhaps a little on the large side but a 5 in every other category. Thanks Epson!

purchased for advertised ink savings & home use.
big printer (but not too big).
out of box: remove tape , 2 styrofoam pieces, & 1 yellow plastic retainer.
setup: used a b usb cable as suggested, then switched to wireless. Epson install software really impressed me (it updated software & firmware during initial install).
text quality: excellent (easy settings for economical or high quality).
photo quality: excellent (printed 3.4mb photo 8 x 10) to compare wiith HP printer).
problems: first text print had a little ink smudge, first photo print had a little ink smudge & mechanical paper grip mark. all following prints were good.
summary: nice printer, the low cost of this printer plus the quantity of ink supplied with this printer was just $20.00-$30.00 more than the cost of buying ink for my old printer.

Initial Impression Is Very Positive

I have just installed my Epson WP 4020 on an XP system with a networked connection. The setup and installation of both the printer, the software and the network connection to two printers went smoothly following all directions exactly. Print quality seems very good on simple text and graphics. I have yet to print detailed graphics and photos, so I must reserve judgement on these printouts until I have the printer longer. So far all has gone as it should, and printer seems to be as good as advertised.

Love the 4020!

The initial printer I received was defective. However, the Epson Technical folks worked with me to isolate the problem and ultimately send me a replacement - all within a week of the original receive date. The replacement printer is working flawlessly. I am impressed and very pleased with how it works. My favorite feature - two-sided printing that does not require manually turning the pages over. My second favorite feature - printing letters via the paper tray and envelops from the rear tray.

I have used the Printer for two weeks now and it has worked very well. I would only recommend that epson should ship the Printer with larger print cartridges so that they last longer and that the tool to print from a celular phone worked with documents also, not just certain things like e-mails.

I found this printer very useful, work horse, durable, versatile and work-environment friendly... The most thing I love about it is has big, giant ink cartridges versus the little tiny cartridges that comes with standard desktop printers..
I print a lot of T-shirt heat press and small posters with it. Colors are awesome. I love this printer.
