I've had this product for 4 months and it already broke. Every time I put in a disc it makes a grinding noise and doesn't play. After some research online this seems to be a common problem amongst blue ray players. But after 4 months? REALLY LG? The warranty on it is 3 months long which doesn't seem very long to me. The three months I did get out of it were just fine though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i have had it almost two months and my family and i love it.i would have to say the only down fall is that is dose not have enough ports for you to hook up everything we needed it for but other than that its great

As a 3D-Blu-ray player it is exellent. As a surround sound system it is very good. As a feature/app filled modern piece of AV equipment, it lacks luster. You have to purchase you choice of internet connecting device to get it connected, it doesn't come with wireless in it. The apps that come with it leave a lot to be desired. I cannot make the PC to Device work properly and it won't play my music from my PC like its supposed to. And I'm not real sure what the DIVX app is about. I wish the manual came with a "recommended settings" for speaker volumes at specific distances to get best setup. Would like the presets to have a "sports" and "movie" selection like it does for "game" and the "night" one is nice. Overall a nice product, but if you love Apps and features keep shopping.

It's taking me a long time to discover all the ins and outs of this device. Like most manuals, this one's is inadequate. Sounds are great but the equalizers are difficult to understand. Was surprised that not all make use of all the six speakers. Difficult to change smoothly from FM to DVD or TV. Probably will get easier after while. Seems to be well-made and doing a good job whatever that is. Vey complicated for an old man..

For the price of this system, I believe that you do get good value. However, I gave it a fairly low review for one reason, it does not have an AM tuner.
I realize not everybody is looking for an AM tuner on their home theater system. But I did specifically buy this system because it lists as having one. It does not however. It appears that the LG site still lists it has having one.
I had to return the system to get one that did in fact have an AM tuner. So for that reason alone I could not give it a higher review.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sound quality is decent, the sub barely hits at all, and not to mention there is no access to netflix and only has output cables to one other device and an HDMI cable, great so what am I going to hook up one device at a time? Most waste of money Ive ever spent, not to mention its only easy to use because there is nothing to pressing a power button.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
