Bought this range hood for a weekend project, and it took much longer to install than anticipated. The problem was, 2 of the parts needed that are to be purchased separately are nowhere to be found, even at home improvement stores that sell the product.
First item was a cable clamp for the wires... Which I personally think should have been included. Both Home Depot and Lowe's were unable to help with the part, and the description on the instructions is very vague. It also does not offer this for purchase from Broan. We went ahead and installed without it as it didn't seem to affect performance.
The second item was frustratingly unavailable at both stores as well. The instructions call for a 7" round damper when installing this as a ducted hood to a 7" vent tube. It even states on the box that this item is needed, however no one at either store (even the one that carries this product) could direct me to a place to buy it. Very frustrating!!
After spending nearly 2 hours trying to find the parts, we gave up.
All in all I am happy with the product. It's pretty and quiet, and really lights up my kitchen. However I would think that the products needed to install it correctly would be available at the stores you buy it from.

Purchased this fan/light and it has been reliable, quiet running, low maintenance. We clean with a stainless steel cleaner every 2-3 months. Easy installation, also.

I have bee familiar with the Broan and Nutone names for many years (used to sell them). That is why I chose this product. They have always been very reliable and durable. In addition to performance the product is very modern looking and fits well with todays contempory designs.

We have a ventless setup and this was one of the only choices. I believe it works well for being ventless although a vented solution would of course be better. Installation was fairly easy but I had to pad the bottom of the cabinet to make it flush for mounting and would have loved to see recommendations for this in the instructions; it can't be uncommon. Recently replaced the halogen bulbs with LED because they run very hot after a few hours of use. We liked the styling, low profile and noise level of this model. Overall, a good product and we would purchase again.

This range hood offers basic features that work in a kitchen where it's main function is to provide light over the range and fan the area. It was very easy to install and looks very decent.
