it has performed to most expectations. its the mobile carrier that is poor. International design is better. Do not need to use contract mobile companies. The basic memory should have been set at 4 GB. 2 GB is much below the expected use. There seems to be issues of application interface when using external SD card
I have had this device for like 2 months now and it is awesome all the things I can do with it; however I kind of miss having the phisical home button there since its easier if you can feel where it is. Overall performance is great and games play really well. Battery life lasts me almost all day since I usually use it to watch videos, surf the web, and a lot of messaging. One of the major Cons in this phone is the black clipping issue it has. Dark videos look awfull sometimes & I hope Samsung does something about it in the future. Overall Great device if you like big screens.
Pros: Bright display, s-pen features, average battery life
Cons: black clipping issue, no physical home button, needs update to jelly bean
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't get me wrong, this phone is a very good smartphone and with Android, you get tons of apps for it. With the huge screen, very easy to see and do on this phone. The ONLY down side to it is that with that huge screen, it takes a lot of battery for the display. So if you use it at all, you need to recharge your phone during the day. Meaning there is no way you can use the phone for an entire day, even half a day , on a charge.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: short battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was the sweetest device known to man when it ran the Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Then came the Jelly Bean upgrade. Gone was one-handed swipe to call/text from any screen (call log, messages, contacts). Gone too was the ability to use the handwriting with my finger - again a one-handed operation. The Photo Editor widget was removed, so the commercial you see where someone snaps a pic, writes on it and posts it in one motion? GONE. Battery life and OS speed? Awful. I still love the pen and handwriting input, it is the only device that offers that - and so it's the device I'm stuck with until another manufacturer offers it. It's still a good phone, has an amazing screen, and lots of great features. Too bad the ones I used most were taken away.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, big screen, s pen input
Cons: jelly bean os is awful, battery life not stellar
I would recommend this to a friend!

The product is great, overall. I see the camera does not have a flash option. Is this intentional or did I miss it? I am still getting the feel of the device but it is great thus far!
I've been using this phone for two years! It's an amazing phone, it's never let me down and has never really slowed down, for being 2 years old I can still impress people with it's features. My contract ends in January and I am definitely upgrading to the Note 3. This phone has sold me 100% on staying in the family.
