I had the Skyrocket before I got the Note. They are both great phones. I love the size of the Note and the ability to actually write with the S Pen and edit photos. I work in the corporate industry and being able to edit excel documents while on the go is a major help. Love this phone.
In Jan 2012 I was bemoaning the fact that I needed to have both a cell phone and a tablet. Only days later I found the Galaxy Note. Voila! Problem solved. This is my first experience with a smart phone and with a wide selection of apps, so the learning curve has been steep. So far I am 99% satisfied. A little longer battery life would make it 100%
I own this phone since Jan 18 ( Galaxy note international GT-N7000). Use it heavily to watch youtube video thanks to its large screen display & light weight. I love this phone. 100% satisfied with my purchase. Will not trade it for any other phone unless Samsung make another galaxy note with a 5.5 inch screen ( edge to edge) but keep the old dimension and weight please. Will not hurt if they through a more powerful battery than the 2500 mAh. If you don't own it then you are missing a lot.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, large screen, s-pen
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just bought this phone and love it.. The screen is larger than most cells on the market right now. I found several different cases to carry with me to Italy; one is waterproof and the other is a nice leather flip case to protect the screen.. I think this phone is the best. Love the ability to write with the pen in my Daily Diary. By far the best Phone on the Market.. Run don't walk to buy this cell.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, large screen
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had 4 iphones. I got sick of seeing everyone and their mother with the phone. So when I saw the commercial for The Note I had to go to the store and see it. Well needless to say when I held my 4s next to The Note I gladly traded in my 4s for The Note and I love it. They need some cute cases.
Samsung first caught my eye with the Captivate. Since then, I have been loyal to them, upgrading to the Infuse and now the Note. My loyalty comes from their exceptional screens and overall great looking products. Also, Samsung phones have been especially friendly to the development community. People may say plastic is cheap, but Samsung pulls off great build quality while keeping such a large device just the right weight, and very durable. Now on to the specifics.
The screen. Absolutely love it. Super AMOLED or bust. The blacks are untouchable and the colors are bright and vibrant. Watching HD video is mind boggling. Reading forums, blogs, and anything else with text is great. Text is super sharp, and a lot fits on the huge screen. The 16:10 aspect ratio is also really nice for portrait mode reading. This is also the first phone where desktop versions of mst websites are way better than mobile versions, because it has the screen real estate and resolution to pull it off wonderfully.
The camera is stunning. Takes awesome stills and great 1080p video. Being a guy with not a huge interest in photography, this phone makes the few pictures I take turn out amazing.
The S Pen and S Note are extremely useful. Jotting down quick notes is super easy, just a quick double tap on the screen and you have a notepad. I also experimented with using the Note to take notes for my college classes, and it is the first time I have been able to do so effectively electronically. Previously, using a laptop was cumbersome, as only text entry was possible. With the Note and S Memo, I can Swype with the pen for super fast text entry, then hide the keyboard and scribble a diagram or formula with ease. Awesome functionality.
Even with newer phones having quad core processors or 2 gigs of RAM, the Note still handles everything I throw at it flawlessly. Very minimal lag, and it handles multitasking with ease. Not much of a gamer, but from what I've heard, the Note also handles that quite well.
Battery life is also great. I am not in an LTE area, which I know would drain battery more, but on HSPA+ I easily get around 16+ hours of overall battery life with about 4 hours of screen on time. That's more than enough for a full day for me, unplug it in the morning and plug it back in before bed.
Using the built in Google Navigation, what more could you ask for than a 5.3" HD GPS unit? The dual GPS receivers, AGPS (I believe) and GLONASS, give the Note super fast, super accurate locks. By the time the Google Maps opens, the Note has already locked on down to 4 meters accuracy usually. Can't get much better than that.
Samsung has done it again, and will continue to win my vote.
