I bought this phone on june 27, and have been in love with it ever since. I have the latest update on it and the only bad thing about it is that you cant adjust the brightness from the top bar anymore, and for the next update Samsung needs to make it so that we can capture a picture from the volume button and they need it so we can make a video from the secondary camera. Other than that Its great! I use this phone everyday for a long time and the battery lasts me up to about 12-13 hours a day!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, features, feeling of the phone, clear screan
Cons: no video from secondary camera, can not capture picture from volume buttond
I would recommend this to a friend!

Finally -- a phone that does everything I need and want.
Work email? Check.

Also, for my fellow butterfingered folk out there, I drop this thing about 500 times a week, and I've yet to see any drop in performance. I simply can't believe how hardy this phone is!

The Galaxy Note has the best of both worlds.
A tablet with cell phone functions allowing you to connect to your files, work remotely anywhere you travel and the ease of a tablet to view, create or just relax with a movie of your choice.

Screen is magnificent. Build quality is 8 out of 10. If the rear cover was an aluminum or kevlar and there were no capacitive buttons, I would have given a 10. It's light, slick, fits well in the hand or pocket and fairly scratch resistant. Many of the preloaded At&t app features did not work properly and were uninstalled except At&t Messeges -- that is a great addition. As usual, i had to install a driver for the usb. This is an annoyance. In fact KIES in general is annoying. The volume is outstanding and very, very loud -- good job. The 4GLTE is also excellent. Battery life is average but I have not updated to 4.0 yet. I wish this had been previously installed and not taken so long to come out.

The Galaxy Note in white is an awesome looking machine in pristine white and delivers all the way around! Beauty, sleek looks, comfortable to handle, and performance that rocks!!!!! I believe that Samsung will be the total leader in the future!

Nice-ish hardware, but hampered by software.

My Note is nearly unusable since the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich. GPS is useless, the phone is slow, and the device randomly exits applications and reboots itself.
The device itself is very nice, and I love the display, but the immaturity of the Android platform leaves me with a desire to go back to an iOS device.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: runs android.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
