Surprisingly solid sound quality and subwoofer.

For the price range, you cannot beat this pair (+subwoofer) of speakers. The sound quality is not audiophile-quality, but definitely must better than other similarly priced speakers'. It comes with a useful control knob that has a useful headphone-out jack. The speakers are plug-and-play, so you can plug the 3.5mm input into your monitor, laptop, phone, etc. without a pre-amp/amp. You are also able to adjust the strength of the bass on the subwoofer. Unfortunately, the quality of the knob/dial is sub-par and has begun to peel and break away. In all, if you are looking for a decent sound quality and volume without breaking the bank (<$100), this set of speakers will do the job just fine.

Bought these for my flat screen tv do not work.

These do not work for TVs you need an audio converter that changes the digital audio signal from your tv to analog. Pretty disappointing as some guy who reviewed it claimed it’s just plug and play with your tv. He stated “oh bought these for my computer and was so impressed I plugged them into my tv and was blown away by the improvement in sound” unfortunately it didn’t turn out to be that simple.
After a few hours of sweating and playing with the audio settings on the tv and trying different plugs, I found online that you need an Audio signal converter which is not included and they aren’t cheap either. So I won’t be able to use these on the tv for movies or video games.
It makes me understand why sound bars designed for your tv are so expensive even the low end ones because they have the audio converter built in.
I’m going to keep them anyway for my laptop in the office because they are pretty good for the price.

Best Valve for the sound you get

Amazing sound, looks sleek, simple setup. I used to only by Logitech speakers, but these were $15 cheaper and looked way nicer. And they overall are better speakers. Also I've had them setup for 10 minutes and my neighbor already complained to me

Okay but not as good as my Cambridge Audio

After years of listening pleasure with my Cambridge Audio PC speakers, I finally had to replace them. I didn't want to spend a fortune--yet--but I needed something to tide me over for a year or so. These were only $50 and had good reviews. They're okay but compared to my CA speakers, they sound tinny and hollow even with the subwoofer turned up full. If you're on a budget, they'll do but if you crave bass, look elsewhere. I was going to buy the Logitech Z623 2.1 speakers but I decided to wait and see what evolves over the coming year.
On the plus side, the cables are long enough and the connection from the PC to the volume control module suits my set-up better than a connection from the PC to the subwoofer. My PC sits on shelf about 1.2. metres above the floor adjacent to my computer desk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Small but with very good quality

It sounds great. Having just two satellite full range speakers, have on its own a little too much middles but one can always equalize the output sound of the computer to low the mids and improve the high frequencies.
The subwoofer makes a good job on its own too.
It can fill a small or middle size room with enough decibels to feel the energy of any kind of music in the skin.

Overall great sound. Good for a TV

I have a media area in am unfinished basement and didn't want to go overboard with a surround system. These speakers were a great full sound to plug into an old plasma flat screen. In did need to purchase a rca to 3.5mm audio adapter which was less than 5 dollars. The bass is decent, but do wish it was a little deeper, but still great value.
