Short Fan Life

I bought this fan less than 2 years ago. We do (did ) use the fan often, but
had never had a fan go out on us. This Kensington (probably other models, too?) I would think, have short-life fan motors compared to expectations (and warranty). I am checking with Hunter now to see if the REALLY stand behind their warranties....we'll see. More later!

Light Issues

I just purchased a home and this fan was in the home prior to me moving in. The fan works great but not even 6 months into living here and the lights went out. I heard an audible pop and the lights went out. I checked the bulbs and even tried replacing them to no avail. Having read the review available and the questions on the lights in the page I came to the conclusion that this particular product just seems to be faulty. My best advice is to avoid purchasing this one model from the company or any seller they are using to sell this model.

This issue is usually caused by a failing or damaged wire harness. The popping noise you heard was most-likely the capacitor or limiter failing causing the lights to stop working. we bought this fan 3 1/2 years ago and it quit. made a buzzing sound and was turning very slow. We turned it off and now wont turn on. This is disappointing, as we built a custom home 10 years ago outfitted every room with a hunter (per the builders recommendations) and never had an issue. We down sized into our current home and this has happened. Very disappointed in this called in for help and they said unable to assist. This isn't right. Did not expect this kind of help from Hunter.....
