Motor Lasted just over 1 year

First, let me say, I am a supporter of Hunter fans. This was the first of the "lower" end Hunter fans I have purchased. While the fan operated as desired after initial purchase, it did not stand up to the normal Hunter reputation. Just after 15 months of operation, the motor offered up 3 pops. Sparks rained down as the fan came to a stop. The lights still worked but the motor was done.
One other personal complaint is from the low light output. The light cover seems too dark for the two bulbs with the light kit. I may have missed that in the description but it does not provide much light even for a small room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Once installed, it looked great!! Then we restored the power to it, so the lights came on and the fan started spinning! Here’s the problem: the fan was making a noise as if something was rubbing, and no it doesn’t have anything to do with how I installed it. Everything looked ok out of the box and everything was tightened properly. This is after we had Hunter replace two fans that stopped working after 2 years. That restored our faith and here we go again. Where is the quality control? Whoever is over that ought to be replaced! The only way I’d ever consider buying Hunter or vouching for them again is if the replaces the fan and cane out to replace it themselves!

I bought and installed 3 of these just over 2 years ago and have had to replace one and a second one just stopped working very disappointed in this Product

Slow, quiet and moves a lot of air

We installed this a month ago. I bought because of the low profile aspect and appearance. The fan itself is wonderful, but sending a white fan with bright brass fasteners looks ......well cheap. I painted all the fasteners white and it finished off the fan. The directions on how to not install the light kit are very difficult to use and understand. Hunter needs to redo this and include them with the specific fan not an online addition that does’t match the wiring for the fan I bought.

We finally got it installed and it is great. Love the Hunter remote that was purchased separably. Had been with out a fan for a couple of years because we were busy, but are really enjoying this new fan.
