Great refrigerator and love two drawer freezer

I've only had for about 4 months but I am very impressed. The two drawer freeze is great and I store frequently used items in the top drawer. I do wish there were two shelves that you could push back for more taller items. Not a great place for wine bottles.

Poor quality and design but nice appearance

CONS:
Chest freezers are notoriously difficult to find anything inside. And I have discovered that the two drawers are essentially two mini chest freezers. I cannot fit a single frozen pizza inside, and stuff on the bottom of the drawer just gets lost. It's quite easy for food to fall behind the drawer as you pull it out, which requires emptying the drawers, pulling them out, and then reaching down to find the food that's fallen. I would go with a side by side next time for better ease of access to the freezer compartment.

Those drawers also mean that the refrigerator is quite limited vertically. I have difficulty storing tall items.
The ice maker is CONSTANTLY getting stuck. I have to take out the bin and use my hand, which is hardly an automatic ice maker.
The French doors are so designed that almost ever single time you close it, the mullion does not close properly, so you have to open it again and fiddle with. Gone are the days of simply shutting the fridge door without thought and planning.
The tendency is for everyone in the house to close the fridge door by holding onto the door storage bins. Which means that in 4 years, 2 door bins have cracked completely off. The bins are quite flimsy. If you pull anything out, they are also easy to crack.
There are two different dispensers for ice and water, but they are not side by side, which would have made them more user friendly. Instead, the water dispenser is in front of the ice dispenser. This is poor human engineering, so guests have to fiddle around with it to figure it out.
I thought LG was a good brand, and at first I thought my fridge was just gorgeous. But beauty is as beauty does, and this appliance is disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] FRIGE AND FREEZER WORK WELL. BUT THE ICE MAKER HAS NEVER WORKED. THEY SERVICED OVER 5 TIMES. IT ALWAYS JAMS. WATER DESIGN NOT GOOD EITHER. GUEST PUSH THE WATER BUTTON AND WATER SHOOTS ALL OVER THE FLOOR. HAPPENED SO MANY TIMES ! THE DOOR LATCH BROKE WITHIN THE FIRST 2 YEARS. THEY DID REPAIR TWICE UNDER WARR.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Compresser Issue

Not happy. The Compresser went bad with my refrigerator and now I have to get this fixed which is very costly. I have heard compresser going bad with this model.
