Not worth the money

Pay attention because if a pan or pot slides off the burner rack (i.e., the part the pan sits on over the burner), it falls off and everything in the pan or pot empties all over the range. This range is cheap and DEFINITELY not worh the money!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Amana stove last month. I wasn't told there was no light in the oven. There's two racks, but I have to remove one of the oven racks to use in the broiler. The grates to not set evenly, therefore pots and pans set sideways. I took one grate back, but the replacement they gave me still doesn't set straight. Also the broiler doesn't slide out. I have to get in the floor to use it. Total bummer!!

There is NO light inside the oven. There is also no window, but that doesn't bother me. But when I open the door to the oven, I would like to see my food with an internal light rather than having to remove the food to check on it.
Also, had to have the hinge on the broiler door fixed twice as it pulled out and bent.

Beautiful but simple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my range. I got this range because it had no knobs or buttons on the front face. Iv had other ones with clocks timers etc. Very very hard to clean. This one is so easy to clean and looks sleek.

Horrible Grates!!

I had my gas range delivered on March 1st. The grates on this model are the worst that I’ve ever seen! You have to make sure you have 2 hands on the pan you are cooking in. The grates sit way too high and are so slippery that if you go to turn over a steak or whatever you are cooking you have to use your other hand to hold the pan so it doesn’t fly off onto the floor!! I wish I never would’ve purchased this model!! Another thing, but not the manufacturer’s problem the store where I bought this from converted it to propane and it was not adjusted properly and also didn’t get the door back on so the night it was delivered and I was going to use it, the door fell off, this caused the broiler door to be damaged. I see by other reviews that other people have issues that the grates as well. Maybe if they sat lower and had a different type of material they would be better. I know that my grates are also already coming apart. The black is starting to come off. This range is very cheaply made.

Love this oven!!

I wanted a basic range without any extras bc my last oven had an electronic board and when it went out, the oven couldn't be turned on. It went out 3x, and I ended up without an oven for months. Everything I've baked in this new one has come out perfectly, and I'm very satisfied with the performance of both the oven and the stove. Plus I love the black.
