RUSTED, AND LEAKED

This was a washer that came standard when we built our home, it has leaked, as well as rusted all in less than 3 years, do not buy this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So-so performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am replacing a fifteen year old dishwasher, naturally expecting far greater performance from new technology. This product is moderately disappointing, as the silverwear STILL doesn't come out clean, despite the jets and pre-steam (and checking hot water temp).
The dishwasher also leaves a fine silt, like sand, in the bottom of the tub after each use, regardless of the detergent brand used. I have to get on my knees to clean out the tub.
Not thrilled.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever purchased! Leaves residue on dishes even after heavy duty pre-washing.

SO DISAPPOINTED! This is the worst Dishwasher I have ever owned. 20 year old washer worked better. This leaves residue on dishes, need to rinse each dish after running it through the dishwasher. Smells like fish after it runs, even with added heat! This product should be recalled. I have a house full of GE appliancesand I will never purchase one again unless I get this problem resolved.

Great cleaning power

After researching online reviews of dishwashers, we purchased this model to replace our dying, 7-year-old Whirlpool Gold model. So far, I am thrilled with it's performance. We chose to install it ourselves, which was a bit stressful, but successful. We have been using it for about a month now, and I am thrilled with its ability to clean dishes. We used to have to scrub our plates before putting them in the dishwasher, and even then they would sometimes come out crusty. So far, each load has been spotless! The noise level is average. You can definitely hear it running, but it's quiet enough not to interfere with our TV or conversations. Two things I wish it had: 1) an indicator to let you know how much time is left on the cycle and 2) more placement options with the bottom rack (it is not modifiable). Other than that, I am totally happy with our attractive, high-performing new appliance!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing to complain, except with hidden control's there's no way to know when the cycle will complete. Not a big deal. Washer is quiet, elegant and does its job. Added steam cycle to remove food from dishes adds time if you're not a fan of pre rinsing dishes.

Does the job but has some issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced all my kitchen appliances with GE products and this dishwasher is my least favorite.
Performance - Dishes come clean for the most part but some stuck on stuff that I might have missed on a quick rinse are still there. Not often, but it does happen.
Quality - The stainless interior is awesome and the silicon racks are a big improvement over earlier models.
Features - Here is where I have some issues. The top shelf is not adjustable so tall items just can't go in. The silverware holder is too big (20x4 inches) + an extra small basket for plastic lids, etc.) The basket has fold down slots for flatware, but they are at such an angle that you cannot put a spoon in them and get it to face the inside of the dishwasher to get clean. The slots are also too small for some things. It might be better to have small, medium and large slots slanted to the inside of the machine instead of the outside. The way the basket fits in the shelf leaves unusable space as well. This certainly does not render the appliance unusable, but it is a feature that could be improved.
Appearance: It shows fingerprints and water spots but is easily cleaned.
Value: It was well priced.

Love the look!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only is this dishwasher MASSIVE on the inside (I hate doing multiple loads in one day), it looks amazing. The front looks (and stays) so clean because the buttons are on the top of the door.
In a word, this dishwasher is... Awesome.

good performance, good features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this dishweasher about 2 mos now. It sure beats the 15 yr old previous one. It is QUIET! Great. One complaint is lack of knowing the progress of where in cycles. Just shows it is running & when complete. Also no ability to skip over a cycle if want to speed it along. My old one had that. Nice SS interior. Silverware basket is not handy in that it only has 4 large compartments which means silverware gets all bunched together if have a lot in there. Knives often do not get clean. Bummer to have to re-wash by hand. :-( Overall I like it though mainly for quietness.
